I watch you with my grandma and she has always dreamed of going to donkey world with our family. She always asks if you’ve come out with anything new anytime I’ve seen her. I found this one early and sent it right to her. She responded almost immediately. I want to thank you for bringing my grandma so much joy.
I now have mad respect for the scuba divers at Disneyland, especially those that have to work on the 'Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage' ride. Some of those underwater figures are creepy as is and I can't imagine how creepy they must be at night!
I have worked at Disneyland a total of 8 years, off and on, at various departments, and I knew most of this information, however, I was surprised about the scuba divers, and the submarine show building and how the Autopia is above it. I used to walk through that Tomorrowland tunnel, especially during the summer, because it was so cool in there. This was back in the Little Mermaid days. Excellent vid…thank you.
The Smellitzers may be a marketing ploy but I absolutely love them! I love the smells when I walk main street and the rides! I feel like they add to the parks.
Me and my little brother are 6 years apart and the only thing we can agree on is our love for the Disney parks. My little brother loves Disney world and wants to go and said “I’m going to find tpmvids” so thank you for making our relationship so much stronger
I was a chosen one once I was given the card on the old no longer existing ‘The Great Movie Ride’. I don’t remember much other than I was kindly asked by a cast member as my and my mom got in line to hold onto this card until we reach the end and give it to another cast member. It was a really cool experience and at the time I thought it was super special. :)
I actually remember a time when rocket rods was there in Tomorrowland. It blew my mind when we entered a building on one side of the land and then popped out of that Central structure to get aboard the ill-fated attraction. And I can almost swear that one part of the queue for that old attraction used to be a circle vision attraction due to how the room is perfectly round where remnants of screens were up near the ceiling
You are correct. The left hand (from the hub) building in tomorrowland was the original home of circlevision. The Rocket Rods queue used the entire space, and now Astroblasters is the current occupant.
I haven't worked at Disneyland for 16 years and I STILL surprise myself sometimes with the two finger point. It doesn't leave you. I knew all of the ones on this list. When you were talking about a real tunnel, though, I was convinced you were going to mention the Time Tunnel. It's a backstage tunnel that takes you from the scheduling building under the office buildings, and to one of the really big backstage areas to the east of Main Street- it's called that because inside the tunnel is the history of the park told through pictures displayed on the walls starting from opening day. I've been in a lot of the basements, and sort of knew about the Tomorrowland tunnel, I just took the Time Tunnel almost every day, so I thought of that one first.
I received one of those red cards before to track the wait times on attractions, felt pretty special to get a hold on one even if it was just to hold it until you get to the front of the line and onto the attraction!
Isn’t your day just 1 million times better than TPM Vids upload a new video thank you so much for making me smile every single time I see a new upload You are truly an incredible RU-vidr. X❤
I watch you with my Sister and my Mom and they both love watching you! When i saw this video I immediately started watching with them. You help our family have a better trip every time we go to disney! You make our family so happy! Thank you!
I've watched so many Disney videos at this point, that I've heard the Mr. Toad's and Alice secret a million times haha. I didn't know about the scuba divers, though! What an interesting job. I love all of your videos about Disneyland!
Hello TPM! I missed my new video notification! I'm glad you are making more Disneyland secrets. I have never been before and I really want to go there! I do miss the iconic 2017 intro! I remember back at that time watching you in 2017 and today it is nostalgiac. Have fun making new Disney Videos. And maybe someday you will make videos featuring Disney Dan! Have fun! 👍
ive been subscribed to you since 2019 and ive learn SO many thangs about disney because of you. when ever i go to a disney theme park i always remember your secrets, and hidden mickeys.
TPM did you ever know that all the popcorn they sell in the park is the money that they use for fireworks. I love your videos so that’s why I made this channel can you plz put this in a video thank you and you are the best❤
I don’t know when I started doing it personally, but I’ve been using the two finger point even outside of the Disney Parks! I’ve noticed it a couple years ago and I think it a habit from being in Disney for so much of my youth?? I’m not too sure, but I always subconsciously point with two fingers, ESPECIALLY if it’s at Disney
i was once in those underground tunnels at disneyland! my mom had an emergency and we needed to get out of the park faster, it was also during a parade, so a few cast members took us through the underground tunnels, it was really cool
I have never been to Disney Land. When I was a kid though I saw these videos as Disney Lands magic (especially malfunctions and facts) I sometimes watched it with my Mom and we learned more about Disney Land, I still try my best to watch your videos now. When I have the chance to go to Disney Land, I'll try to find a fact or Malfunctioning animatronic. Thank you so much for making theses videos TPM 😄😄!!
I have been the chosen 1 Multiple times Even multiple times in 1 day!!!! I Used to think that was some special person When I was little My dad used to tell me it was because I was the cutest😁😁 Didn't know they had a special name till now Seeing them in the video brought back good memories❤❤❤❤❤
I got a Flick card in 2019 for Maters junkyard jamboree in California’s Adventure. I thought it was kind of odd because the ride was practically a walk on.
I got a FLIK card at my last Disneyland trip! I felt so special to be a part of the magic. I'm so excited to go to Disneyland Paris this year! It's going to be so much fun!!!
I don't know if this counts as a utilidor, but twice, while in high school in the early 1990s, my school band performed at Disneyland as part of Magic Music Days. One year, we marched up Main St. and then performed a short set in front of Sleeping Beauty's Castle and then back down Main St. The second time, and this is where the possible utilidor comes into play, we played a concert at Disneyland Hotel in the courtyard. To get in and out of the park, we accessed a tunnel that led from backstage to under the DLR, into Critter Country, and out near either Splash Mountain or the Hungry Bear. What I remember most about this tunnel is that it was near a bakery and it was filled with the aroma of freshly baked bread. This may have all changed in the last...30 years, but can anyone confirm that this is still a regularly used access point into the park and if the bakery is still there under Critter Country?
When I rode the Indiana Jones ride in 2015, my friend and I were handed one of those wait time cards in the line. I always figured it was to update the wait time, interesting to find out it's more for internal stuff. Fun video.
Have you ever covered the test wall in Disneyland? Behind the fruit stand on Main Street there is a small alley way, and if you go down it you see a small wall of bricks with all different kinds of textures. This was actually a test wall for when the park was first being built to test out different kinds of brick and it is one of my favorite hidden secrets in Disneyland because not many people know about it, it would be an amazing secret to share on your channel!
I have watched your videos since your first break down videos! You are an amazing youtuber. I have been watching you since you only had Instagram and Twitter and youtube. Your videos always bring me joy.
That is interesting to hear about the size of Autopia. I loved Autopia since the 1980s (I absolutely loved People Mover too), so was greatly disappointed to see Tokyo Disneyland not have it in my first visit there almost five years ago. What the park operator Oriental Land explains is that after tearing down their auto section to replace it with Beauty and the Beast area, Baymax ride, and the popcorn specialty store (all unique to TDL), that area has been able to accommodate twice the capacity of visitors. I wonder if that concept will some day sink inside Imagineers.... Today is my first visit to Anaheim in more than three decades, so will be looking out for the scent functions in Main Street, thanks to this video.
We got Flik card 2019 Autopia. From UK, and rotated between Disneyworld and Disneyland, going every 2-3 years, so we felt pretty cool and special for us to be selected. Initially only used to go Disneyworld, but after we discovered Disneyland and its charm, we preferred going there; actually going twice in 2019. At it's prime then, still with the charm and fun of paper fast passes and Galaxy edge just opened with Smugglers run. Think that was the Universe telling us to make the most of the magic...not gone back as the magic has since evaporated with no sight of recovery ... such a shame. When we do go back to USA parks in 2025, it will be to Epic Universe. We have since reverted back to Disneyland Paris, and currently booked later this year for the revamped Disneyland Hotel . Thereafter, have sights on Disney Tokyo.
I actually got a Flick card at DCA park when I was going into the buz lightyear ride, the wait was getting to long for me and my family so we left the standby. And once we exited out of the park I finally realized I still had the card and I got so scared thinking I was going to get in trouble😭
I worked as a cast member in a Disney Store in MA, we had to do the two finger point or face potential firing! Fast forward to now, and I am a teacher…who uses the two finger point.
I am going to Disneyland in March so I will make sure to ask some cast members about some of these facts when I go. Also, I have received a FLIK card before on my last trip to Disneyland. I was about to ride Goofy’s Sky School and the cast member at the front gave me one.
For a while when my mom worked at Disneyland she actually used to work in a building that i think was connected to were space mountain is so when my daycare would go on field trips during the summer to Disneyland she would come by and say hi whenever we were going to go on space mountain. She worked in human resources with talent development so she could occasionally hear the screams as people rode the ride.
My favorite part of going to Disneyland is when I get to be the person who holds the card for measuring ride wait times, makes me feel like I have a job even if it doesn’t “truly” do anything. I get the cards a good 2-4 times a trip, roughly once a day when I because I try to cram in LOTS of rides each day.
I was a Chosen One on my first ever visit to a Disney park! It was at Indy and I of course had no clue about the significance, of a red card but I was still super excited
The pictures of Walt Disney being edited to remove his cigs makes me laugh. I respect that he didn’t want that to be publicized, but some of the edits look pretty obvious! Love your videos, TPM!
