Although some schools are not requiring this year's applicants to submit a GMAT score, folks should keep in mind that if you're a strong test-taker, you could arguably be at a little bit of an advantage over other applicants if you do take the GMAT and submit a score that's above the school's median score for last year's admitted class.

Wharton is the indisputable #1 school for Finance and Accounting (probably business in general) in the country. The recruiting opportunities and networks are insane. Wharton sends more undergrads to Goldman than any other undergraduate school in the nation. And the top private equity firms recruit only out of Wharton and Harvard. UChicago and Stanford have good finance and accounting programs, don't get me wrong, but they go no where near the level of Wharton.

@P C u and Chiang both dumb/uninformed. A lot of these numbers are simply a function the numner of students. Look at the percentages accepted to these schools instead. so if NYU was a quarter of the size it was, it wouldnt be ranked top of your list simple because it would have as many students. Also, different colleges may have different firm preferences, could be based on location. dont use GS as the standard. It's jut like saying that Columbia is a better school for undergrad than Harvard because it sends more kids to GS and Google. Not necessarily. 100% depends where you choose to go. Also very major dependent too. Columbia econ majors dont have as high a starting salary as harvards. a higher proportion of columbia econ grads go to non-profits and polisci then harvard.

@@titoadesanya9369 It's more like saying Stanford >> Pomona. US News rankings is the only ranking ever to put Columbia over Penn simply because Columbia has a lower acceptance rate. Any other ranking (WSJ, Forbes, Niche, and International) all put Penn significantly above Columbia. Penn sends a greater proportion of pre-med students to Ivy League med schools. Penn students have higher starting salaries out of graduation and later on in life. And Penn produces significantly higher quality research because it has significantly more research funding. Not to mention we have a $3 billion higher endowment and our social scene is much better.

Chirag R. Oof. CWUR, ARWU, US news global and Times and Wall st all a ranking Columbia top 10/5. penn isn’t there. Goes to show random metrics don’t make one college better than wither. Columbia undergrad sends more grads to Google and Goldman. Doesn’t make Columbia no. 1
