What an awesome video Kevin. I was there but in watching it again now, forgot all the things that we spoke about. This was one of my highlights of the Milano trip to interview Daniel alongside you. In fact afterwards I actually included "Milano" to my collection.....reminds me of my time in Milano and Esxence. BTW I loved your intro bro....super engaging and hooks you in from the start, awesome work mate!
My broooo!!! Thank you so much for setting up all the filming gear and doing this amazing shoot with me. It was a blast and watching it back is freaking awesome 😎 I was also re-spraying these FDB perfumes as I was editing it at the shop haha kept having to pause the video and go spray the perfume from the shelf 😂
As a collector myself with over 100 fragrances and hours/weeks/months/years of review watching....I must admit this video moved me. Thankyou Kevin, you have definitely created a new subscriber.
I met the gentleman on the left whenever he hosted a local layering event at the local perfume store and I showed him the Milano with cavort I made but it was a lovely experience meeting them
What an awesome wonderful video! Love FDB I wish you guys tried some of their discontinued attars like arabesque, rose du bois, areej etc..I have few bottles of each I can bring with me to Australia for you brother Kevin and for brother Marcelo.enjoyed the video a lot thanks guys.epic video
@@KevFragranceAdventures I think it's great! To me it's an opulent, soapy, aldehydic fragrance. Just a beautifully clean scent. What's your favorite from the house?
I love Fragrance Du Bois. I don't understand why people say that they don't last and that they are the worst fragrance ever. I think they last a very very long time. I got my Santal Complet yesterday and it is a beast. Whats wrong with people.
Completely agree with you Johan, I guess it comes down to perfumes performing differently on everyone's skin. For me Fragrance du Bois perform amazingly with some crazy projection on fragrances like PM You have any favourites from the brand?
WHEN EYE RECEIVED MY BOTTLE OF NEW YORK 5TH AVE MY SEARCH WUZ OVER...KNOT ONLY IZ IT MY FAVORITE FRUM THA HOUSE BUT ITZ ONE OF MY FAVORITES OF ALL TIME...EYE STILL NEED 2 GETT OUD ORANGE INTENSE...⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ CONTENT MY G
JULIO MY MAN! Hell yeah their fragrance New York 5th Avenue is a killer scent! Absolutely stunning creation, the more I wear it, the more I get this beautiful warm caramel in it. Hope you get your hands on Oud Orange intense soon my friend! :)
FDB have one of the best presentations in the perfume game.. Just order (puro oud)can't wait to try it,all off my FDB are top notch hopefully this next one will be the same like:secret Tryst or Saharaa..
Watched Marcelo's video and transferred over to this one right after. I love FDB, but they make approaching the house pretty damn difficult and they have some duds too. Expensive sample sets, no offsetting vouchers, not as many carriers as mainstream niche brands etc. My favorite is Parisian, it's one of very few rose-ouds that I actually find perfect. After that, I like New York 5th and Cavort, with Milano 4th. London Spice not one for me, those sharp-spicy scents end up giving me a headache, prime example is Rehab from Initio. Solstis was another disappointment, mainly because the performance on it was horrendous - 8 sprays didn't even make it 4 hours.
I guess not every fragrance will suit everyone's skin. I'm happy to hear how much you love Parisian, it's definitely one of my favourites too man :) If I can recommend you try a few of my other faves, check out: Oud Jaune, London Oud and my latest love from their house is PM a collaboration wth Producer Michael. It's an incredible dark and warm Tuberose scent with a very rich and heavy Leather. Seriously lasts ages, for me I get 30 hours on it!!! Let me know how you go mate :)
@@KevFragranceAdventures I got think about my fellow co workers and commuter on the tram. Sahrra might unduely excite them and may get un warranted attention. 😄
Great video. Love FDB. I only own 4 of theirs but I'd own a lot more If I didn't have a budget. Always great to see you and Marcelo working together too.
Hi Lee! It's absolutely a luxurious fragrance house. Which are the 4 you already have? Thanks for dropping by, happy to hear you enjoyed the episode :)
@@KevFragranceAdventures I've got Oud Bleu, Sahraa, Noir intense, Parisian but fom the notes I'm sure I'd like a few more. Unfortunately here in the UK its a pain to get individual samples of that house.
hey kev, have you tried xerjoff Al=Khatt ? it smells like a horse shit(yes a poop) . sorry about the language. also if you have it , have you tried Unique luxury - Woud and Mood
Hahaha Al Khatt is definitely one that can clear a room 😂 I love the brand Uniquee Luxury. Woud & Mood is a great fragrance, one of my faves is KUTAY which is a dark whisky and leather/tobacco scent :)
I like the spicy aspects from FdB in London Spice, and especially PM. Beautiful juniper berry in PM, a well composed somewhat retro powerhouse with great longevity. Oud blue needs some summer warmth, and works well in that case. I think Secret tryst is too sweet for the scent profile and cavort was not a showstopper for me. Good video Kev, although I was confused when you introduced ‘lesser known FdB’s’ and picking up Sahraa…
Hi Gerard haha good pick up! I guess the Sahraa is a bit lesser known here in Australia because FDB haven't been available in Australia for very long and Sahraa's price point is a little less accessible than others in their collection. Nonetheless you are correct my friend, over the years it has garnered quite a name for itself in FDB's range of perfumes! Which is your personal favourite in the brand? 😊
@@KevFragranceAdventures I’m om the fence between Sahraa and PM. I think, considering the price point, I’d go with PM here for its uniqueness and grab an Amouage to fulfill the Sahraa scent profile 😉
Hi my friend! Yeah how amazing was Marcelo's Esxence video!!! Hope you get you sample Fragrance du Bois soon, expect to find some absolutely magical scents :)
Another great interview Kevin, I must say when you are relaxed and easy going the interview just flows. And agree I have a few of Fragrance Du Bois they are beautiful to wear. 🥰
Hi Vicki!! Thanks so much, this was after such a long crazy day at Esxence and I'm so happy we were able to sit down and have a relaxed interview with Daniel. It's great to hear that this translated on camera for your viewing too. What's your favourite FDB perfume (I know you have quite a few from them!)
@@KevFragranceAdventures I must say I love Siberian Rose, Oud Rose Intense and Cavort. I really enjoy Demi's as well but its not long lasting(thats the only downfall of Demi's)
Cheers Eden you legend! I'll have to take you through more of the Fragrance du Bois range at the store next time. You'll need to come with nothing on skin so you can leave with 4 or 5 different scents on you hahaha see you soon!
Try KAHWA by Boadicea The Victorious! It's an Arabic coffee that focuses on a bright fresh cardamom, a really great fresh spicy scent to wear in the office. Let me know how you go my friend :)
