I admit that I thought this list would initially be lame. Boy was I wrong. I've researched tons of plugins, and yet I found 3 plugins from this video to be super helpful. Thanks!
Hey dear, your video is very helpful for new users. You provide the information that they need to build a website. Actually, this plugin makes our work very easy.
Very high quality video and very helpful. I am not sure whether anybody else commented on the voice as well. You should become a voice over artist .......Really impressive voice.....I watch a lot of RU-vid videos and the voice on this video is amazing. Anybody else has mentioned that to you?
These tutorials have been a life saver for this non technical new blogger. Thank you, I shall dip in and out as I progress especially categories and tags which are taking a while to sink in!😂
james, this is bullshit. when i go to your website, i see no information except a stupid pop-up box asking me for my email. Are you trying to indicate that you will not provide info on your website unless we start giving you emails so you can spam us??!!!
Thank you so much for posting this! Good idea to direct the "how to" to other videos that focus on that specific plug in. Will definitely be checking that out.
You should also consider the PHP 7 Compatibility Checker. When thinking about that barely 6% of all WordPress users upgraded to PHP 7 this plugin might become very usefull.
So true Kristina. I downloaded the plugin a few days ago, it's really helpfull. You may read this post to get more information about WordPress & PHP 7: wpressmag.com/wpengine-php-plugin-wordpress/
Thanks for the tips. The Seo friendly images is a very good suggestion, I always have much work with my images to get better results for seo, and for the page speed.
Top 7 Wordpress Plug-Ins For More Traffic 1. SEO Friendly Images - pics come up on Google 2. WP Socializer- add social buttons to posts & sidebars 3. Contact Form 7- add contact form to website, edit, or make a new one - add lead magnet (sidebar, footer) 4. Yoast SEO 5. SumoMe- List Builder - Great email subscriber & build list 6. Google XML Sitemaps - helps index on search engines for better rank & more traffic 7. Yoast Google Analytics - know what people are doing on the website/testing
James Stafford has provided good information regarding plugins but not all the WordPress websites need all those plugins, but just choose which one your site needs it. Best of all, Mujahid Bakht, Tice Media, Inc.
I certain would NOT use contact form 7 as it is probably the most user unfriendly plugin around. The best form builder in our experience is VFB Pro. Google XML Sitemap is redundant as it is already part of Yoast SEO.
Than you should try Visual Form Builder Pro. We have been there with Contact Form 7 and it's a total different world in terms of functions and user friendliness.
but he is right to say that Google XML Sitemap is redundant as it is already part of Yoast SEO. you cannot have 2 different wordpress plugin creating sitemaps; there is chance it might clash and something will go wrong.
Great Video. I agree with most of your list, looking forward to trying out the SumoMe :) Do you use different plugins according to what WP theme you have installed?
I have found that the yoast XML function is sufficient and does essentially the same thing. They also have integrated google analytics into their main yoast seo plugin. So, basically, one "plugin" to rule them all.
Hello James, thanks for this great compilation of plugins! I have a question regarding security: What about plugins which haven't been updated for a long time, say >6 months (=plugins that are not compatible with the current version of WP)? I'm asking because there are, for example, those very important security plugins to avoid numerous login attempts, "Limit Login Attempts" and "Login Lockdown". Those plugins have not been updated for a very long time, but youtubers still recommend the plugins. Is this not a security risk? How dangerous is it in general, if developers do not update plugins and does the necessity of an update depend on the plugin itself? Ron
Awesome video! Great overview of plugins. Just a heads up, you are duplicating your sitemaps if you install Yoast and XML sitemap generator. Otherwise, we totally agree with your suggestions. 2 other suggestions would be a caching plugin and a security plugin. Thanks for your video.
Great video! When I downloaded the google site map it said that there is a conflict with Yoast because Yoast already creates a sitemap. Any pointers there?
Nice, like in, share when I get to other PC as this one still rather new. One thing though, you did not mention Wordfence the security plugin. Since that is the first plugin I drop in I really expected it to appear in your video. Is there something I should know? Just curious...
Both Yoast SEO and Google XML Sitemaps can create XML sitemaps. Having two XML sitemaps is not beneficial for search engines, yet might slow down your site.
this is amazing ........... thank you for all info u chared with as i just have one question witch platforme you use to make montage vedio ...... i really admire it thank u
