The Isle of Skye has to be the most magical place I've ever been. I returned from an epic 6 day journey visiting some of the most iconic locations in Scotland's beautiful highlands.

Some recommendations when visiting the isle of Skye. Be prepared for bugs, that was the worst part about being there. I got swarmed by tiny biting gnats that were extremely annoying. I also got a tick so definitely bring some bug spray. Also driving on the left hand side of the road is tough and the roads in Scotland are often one lane so get ready for some fun! :)

Great video, Skye is awesome! The beasties that protect the Fairy Pools are midges, National Bird of Scotland. Lots more to see but you hit the big ones. Check out Neist Point some day.

Midges are a nuisance. Won't entertain Scotland in summer at all, midges are rife in summer. The national bird of Scotland is an Eagle.

Good job Ryan, I enjoyed it! The negative comments from some of my fellow countryfolk are embarrassing, especially the ones that can't offer a tiny morsel of a complement Many a Scot struggles with the Gaelic place names and you clearly meantioned that you passed Glenfinnan Viaduct on the way to Skye and that it wasn't in Skye. Haste ye back. ✈

Believe it or not, you missed the most beautiful part of Skye - the valley's of the Cuillins and to the other side. Unfortunately, it's a bit of a "can't get there from here" situation. But if you make it, you've got just about the most beautiful spot on earth all to yourself.

I absolutely loved Skye! Unfortunately it was very rainy when we were there and the fair pools were flooded. We were still able to do everything else though.

Didnt even go to the fairy pools, miss sold the tourist formed rock piles considored a nuisance by the locals, called the Quirang a mountian range geez, as a local I can say this video had some nice footage but terrible descriptions and commentary about the areas. Just throw some music over it or something.

I thought the Isle of Skye to be completely overrated. Areas touched by man are barren and ruined. The island is littered with plastic blowing in the wind. In short the Isle of Skye looks absolutely worn out and in desperate need of a pause to manage the infrastructure to cope with the growth in tourism.

We went to Scotland 2 years ago for a 10 days' trip. And only 1 day on Skye. I would like to go back to visit Skye and stay more. Dunvegan is the birthplace of my family. I felt my roots. I love Scotland.

Daniel Kogler what’s up Daniel! I put all the shots on a timeline and I speed them up to 200 percent change it from frame sampling to frame blending mode. Then I’ll export it and if I want to speed up a particular shot I’ll speed it up again. My computer just can’t handle speeding things up to like %1000 percent 😂

The only reason we haven't had a big independence thing like you guys is because of the amount of English migrants here, which I can assure you only adds fuel to the fire. There's a growing independence movement and the Welsh language has become much more liked, it's a matter of time.

Is Scotland really as stunning as the dolomites or Norwegian islands or Switzerland?, I know you don't need the biggest mountains to make a place look beautiful but it is really comparable to you. ?

Peak Of the I think it is comparable! It feels magical there and there are surprisingly big mountains there and some amazing rock formations! Each place has its reason for being special!

@@RyanShirley For sure , I live near the great smoky mountains in the north Georgia Tennessee north Carolina area and they only reach around 6000ft tall but the area is seriously stunning, Apparently the hills in the isle of Skye were part of the Appalachian mountain chain at one point in time . I can definitely Invision dinosaur's walking around the quiraing area it looks very picturesque. Great footage by the way it was great to watch thanks .

Epic place for mtb you really need to check out the cullins hills you will get some great footage with your drone out there-it's a couple hours walk tho well worth it beware of the swarms of midges out there tho they like humans!!

Lynn Pietras May is generally one of the better months for weather on Skye and it’s also before the midges really get going, but of course Covid means not this year. I was due to go climbing in the Cuillin mountains in May but have changed to end of September in the hope that Covid restrictions will be lifted. Enjoy it whenever you go. It’s a climber’s paradise but even for non climbers there’s plenty to see.

It's really nice seeing a young tourist enjoying our country. We often ( not always) take it for granted here. I suppose people do that everywhere. It’s a little tricky, but you get use to it! 😅 I rented a stick shift, i recommend getting a automatic car if you can

If you do nothing else you must visit the magical Fairy pools but don't do it in the midge season
