Don't know about the US but in the UK right now the all-time classic *Dark Star* is available via Prime; also *Ex Machina* and *Monsters* are worth a look. And currently *District 9* is in the carousel too!
Yeah but if you can find it anywhere else it's worth a few bucks to rent it. Very very solid sci fi film. Lots of original concepts that (pun) Pre-date other shows and movies 🎬
I'm with you except for Interstellar, which I thought was weak and awash with cliches. Obviously it's a shot at being the 2001 for the current era, but it missed by a mile.
I liked it but it was a let down in many ways. My ex GF and still good friend nailed it when she said Matthew McConaughey was the problem & didn't believe him as the dude because as she put it...."he's a Doofus" and she's right. 😂He hurt the movie.
