So sad that stormlance, the "white scars" detachment, was designed for being played with space wolves instead. They stripped white scars from bikes options, from bike captain, and made strats redundant/useless to bike marines.
Yes, it’s absolutely terrible and not right - all bikes went to “legends” (as if someone want to play half-legit units) and nothing was given in return. Let’s hope they remedy that situation soon enough
I wouldn't saw that idk if it will survive their codex stuff but dark angels got better use of it then wolves did there is just better options for them now I'd imagine since they got what 10 to choose from and most perfer ironstorm. I think even generic marines could get use for it but no one has tried its ashame captain on bike is gone and white scars have no mounted characters but I wouldn't say it was geared towards space wolves. It's just one of our better options
I'm showing up to a local hobby shop with a fluffy ravenwing hunters list and it will have 10th edition legends units. If they throw a fit then remind them you play for fun and just because gw doesn't sell something anymore doesn't mean you aren't going to play it anymore. If it has a 10th edition data sheet it should be fine.
I really like using the Repulsor Executioner in Iron storm, the amount of weapons up you get in that thing with lethals is brilliant. It might be a goofy tactic but I used this to great effect against a demons player who runs a Monster only list. I set up a convo (very vulnerable to Deadly demise) with a Phobos librarian and an infiltrator Sqaud screened out between a Rep and a Rep Executioner. And the 2 Techmarines with enchantments. The librarian gave the vehicles fallback and shoot with the enchantment and the infiltrators prevented Belakor from Deep striking 6” to my vehicles. I had a Lieutenant with combi on standby to body block any charges. Inside the Repulsor I had a 10 man intercessors Sqaud with Lieutenant. The lethals are important against monsters and this also gave the convo sticky objectives when they disembarked. So it could move around the board capping objectives. In the Repulsor executioner I had 3 Eradicators.
I know it would be more work for a video, but as a Black Templar player I'd love to see a video where you make a list for each Vow the Black Templars can choose. Love these list videos though. They definitely help me rethink my lists often
@@vfminiatures of course. The 6+ FNP and adding tanhausers bones enhancement for a 5+ on a squad is hard to pass up. I guess that's the reason I'd want to see the video, to have someone like you with you're knowledge and experience write up a list. Lists have been a little tougher to write ever since Helbrecht and Grimaldus got their points increased from 95 to 120 😭

Making the 1st Company Task Force work is a real Challenge. And unfortunately the 12“ deepstrike denial on the mystic only works if the unit is lead by an Inquisitor, which makes them more expensive than infiltrators 😅 I am currently also running two termi bricks: 10 assault termis with a Termi Chaplain ( rites of war) for more OC in the middle and one 10 man with bolters and Cyclones, lead by a termi Captain (iron resolve) and a termi ancient (imperiums sword) to bully my Opponent wherever I like. They Are Both quite tanky and have good OC. For Support theres a Lt. with combi weapon for RR 1s to wound, which really helps the Assault termis in the center, and a Stormspeeder Hailstrike to boost the normal Termis with -1 AP, which makes their shooting quite decent. The rest of the List is utility, screening and a third objective holder Unit, in my case Viukan Hestan with infernus marines to demotivate my Opponent to walk in on his flamerpower (or overcommit first to get the objective an then See my termis uppy downy in on him next turn). It really is Hard to pull off especially with deciding when to use all the „Once per game“ abilities, but it Sure is fun! This detachment would be super amazing to have the old oath of Moment for the entire game or at least for 2 or 3 turns, in my opinion 😄
I think imo, the only thing i would change in the Gladius Taskforce one, instead of the assasin, i would take a Captain with Relic shield, so you can lead the blade guard and give some free stratgems.
Interesting. I run imperial fists so i'm trying to get the anvil siege to work. it just seems appropriate to run for them. i have a unit Eliminators with las fusils and a phobos librarian to give them lone op and to capture obj early. currently using a 5man unit of desolation and just hide them. Like to take advantage of the ignore cover and -1 to hit if they remain stationary i also run some hellblasters, but keep them to a unit of 5 with an apoth in the impuslor. i have a game this week. so hopefully this pays off in the end.
If you’re going up against other marines, use heavy intercessors, when they’re stationary they’ll be wounding on 2s. Edit: also sternguard are really nice with the battle drill recall. Give all the weapons sustained hits, fish with Oath, and also get to re-roll wounds with oath to try and get dev wounds.
Don't think they fqed it yet but I took anvil to a team tournament double whirlwind is a auto include put the workhorse unit was 2 eliminator squads instigator las fusils and impulsor with a tech marine behind it and between a whirlwind. To heal it but you end up with 4 las shots hitting on 2s +1 to wound cause it didn't love with dev wounds and 2 shots less impressive but still dev wounds
Is it possible to build a competitive list in which each unit is different? Building and painting 3 vindicators or ballistus seems so boring and I really prefer to buy 3 different models.
Small comment for Stormlance: you don't need 33 wolves models actually, but you really need 3 Battle Leaders for those 3 TWC units. Battle Leaders more important even than Wolf Lords for their Lethal Hits and reactive move.
You definitely don't is your playing compliant 40k Wolf lance does great in player placed which isn't supposed to be a thing levithan packet not so great if your running a horde of t cav. You want like 1 8 pack and a 5 pack if you really want to a 4 pack with canis can be a 3rd unit but definitely not 24 thunder wolves

Wagwan, so I had my first game the other day against an ad mech player and it was a 1000pt game with cardboard for cover, supply lines as the mission and something that basically burned the middle objective so there were only four left. Now that the scene is set I horribly lost on the points game but nearly tabled him come turn 5, however when I explain what he has and what I deployed with lmk guys where I can improve on the list that could balance between objective scoring and killing efficiency. His list: Onager, 2 Ironstriders, Vanguard with Marshall, Kataphrons 6 with a manipulus, Dominus, Enginseer and two Stiltmans (I know they aren’t called that but I can’t remember their names right now) My list: 6 Agressors and Biologis, Company hero’s with Calgar and 6 man Bladeguard with Lieutenant and Uriel ventris for the deep strike. Scouts wolves and sternguard doing actions mostly vanguard going where i need any support while the terminators take care of the game along with battleshock nonsense Granted with leadership test being 7 and 8 list didnt better than it normally would in most games cause buddy was losing models left and right
So why no Gladiator Lancer in the Anvil Siege Force? It has heavy and is arguably the best anti-tank in the game right now. I'd rather run at least 1 of them maybe 2 over the whirlwinds
Has anyone won tournaments with these lists, especially Gladius and Vanguard detachments? I feel like these lists are unfinished or compiled from what I have in my collection.
They are based on my experience of winning tournaments and lists I’ve seen that won tournaments by other players, I don’t like taking someone else’s list and just regurgitate it back to you because someone won an RTT with it somewhere
