This videos just show that fo76 desperately needs a job system. Beeing able to become a cook, leveling up your rank by selling food and doing dailys for a new npc, unlocking skills like 3x xp for cooking, 2x yield from cooking etc. And finally the ability to can your food, making it fresh forever. I don't care if its expensive, i would probably spend hours running around the map and collecting ingredients to cook everything on the menu. I already built a hunters lodge in the mire, gimme the ability to actually sell the higher stats food to others
I think a developed job system is a bit of a big hope (not that I wouldn't want it). Something more likely might be a new atom shop workstation. I'd pay, like, 1500 Atoms for a Canning Press. + Aluminum/Tin/Normal Can = Canned version of that never spoils. That might be a bit of a high Atom price, but I *really* hate either losing 3 luck perk points or having my food spoil obnoxiously quickly. I have so many other things I'd like to slot than Good With Salt, but I feel like I can't because otherwise my food spoils before I want to eat it.
@@PhotriusPyrelus i think if we would get a cannery, we would get it as a reward in the next season. But looking at the cost/reward ratio of the ammo converter the cannery will probably cost gold or even flux. And i wouldn't even mind that. And yeah, a job system is probably a complex thing to implement, but imagine having the ability to be a chef/hunter/smith/doctor/ammo crafter/farmer/mercenary with a couple of specialized perks aiding your job and a new reputation system with new plans at each level. The reason people sink 1000 of hours into games like sims or cities skylines is because the game gives them the ability to role play exactly the way they want. Having role-playing options in 76 would breathe a whole lot of new life into it and surely attracting many streamers with it
You missed Smoked Mirelurk fillets: lasts 1.5 hours, gives underwater breathing, _and_ also increase carry weight by +75 with carnivore and strange in numbers. Most of the ingredients are easy too: 2 purified water, 2 mirelurk meat, 2 ash rose (plenty enough in Lewisburg rooftops) and 2 salt. The last part is the trickiest, since it shares a resource with Tasty Squirrel Stew and uses 2 of them where the stew uses 1.
Hmmm time to check it out.... salt i can farm at a few places.... and I would love to have a 1.5h lasting carry weight buff.... Will have to check if I can get my hands on the recipe (or if I already have it)
One of my greatest linguistic pleasures is listening to non-native English speakers. They pronounce things interestingly (the way InnovSurvivalist says "Gutsy" makes me smile every time!), but moreover, the way they phrase things can be very novel. Like, they come up with ways to express things which are perfectly semantically (and usually grammatically) correct, but not something that would occur to a native-speaker.
Listening to Americans try to pronounce it is the funniest. They miss out the entire middle of the word. The fuck is a sc-urle? Like them tying to say the word Graham is hilarious too. Who's Gram?
Turtle, the restaurant in Whitesprings, where you sit down at a table and they serve you, sells Cranberry Meatball Grinders. So, if you don't want to spent the effort to collect the parts and craft yourself, you can just spend some caps. :-)
Re: thistles: I get the load of them at the Willard Corporate Housing east of Wavy Willard's. Best tip I can give you: search for them at night; the thistles glow and are easier to spot then.
Canned meat stew is increased when your carnivore. Also I can't find the tasty squirrel stew recipe off to the forest to do events I guess. The scorchbeast brain was so good during Double XP. Also pepperoni roll yesterday only gave me 60 lb of carry weight I wonder why maybe you had other carnivores on your team?
It sounds like Strange in Number didn't triggered since you only experienced the 2x effect from the normal mutation effect. Strange in Number requires you to have a mutated teammate to trigger, I believe. You may have teamed with non-mutants.
@Pikakeung yup you need a mutated team member apart from yourself.... And the recipe does still drop although it is a somewhat rare drop.... if you're on pc I have a spare recipe I can sell you...
I honestly have been using butchers bounty since the food mutation effects are doubled xD xD xD I can pretty much max out a vendor when I log into the game just by selling my cooked meats xD xD xD
The good AP regen for carnivorous build is honey. Just do "irrational fear" swamp daily, follow the robot and loot the honey. Bind it hotkey and spam-eat it when need AP regen. I have over 400 honey ATM.
Canned meat stew is my favorite carnivore food. It boosts more XP, is easy to get, doesn't go bad, and fills up your food and water. All aspects of it are boosted even more with strange in numbers.
one more recipe that i highly suggest is 'mystery meat pie' gives 50 carry weight and +8 END as carnivore with strange in numbers for an hour. takes 2 spoiled meat, 1 spice, 1 toxic water, 1 wood and 2 intestines. only degradable item being intestines makes it easy to store the other ingredients and if you're using butchers bounty when you kill the squirrels for squirrel stew you can get multiple intestines as well as multiple squirrel bits, so you're not going out of your way to make them
I've got a (few) tasty squirrel stew recipe left in my stashbox... i somehow got a whole bunch of them from the events.... and I've been selling them a lot lately... maybe j should charge more than the default 50 caps per recipe the game advises hahahaha Also... 5 strength that buffs your carry weight can also be gained from using StingWing filets... the StingWing is pretty easy to get from the fixed spawn location and you can get a bunch of them from a few events (free range spawns a few at the second enemy spawn) so imo it's easier to get than deathclaw meat xD I rarely find them and I know where to go and still not find many xD
InnovSurvivalist's guide on Delbert recipes : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8cVL83CVU18.html Fried deerskins is the 1st one on her list. It's in Wavy Willard's. Grab it on your next thistles farming trip ^^
I feel like Mystery Meat Pie deserved the mention. All those intestines you got from hunting squarrels are put to use. Toxic water is plentiful when you do daily toxic dump(also a great place to stock up on wood scraps). And the spices are plentiful if you go salt/pepper/sugar hunting. It gives you extra 40 carry wait AND as much Endurance as aged mirelurk queen steak and whatever cooked scorchbeast organ gives max endurance I forgot.
Was able to confirm that you can also buy the tasty squirrel stew from White Springs "Le Gourmet." Chef robot in back for 90 caps if you looking to get it ASAP. I did have to server hop a little but wasn't too hard to find him selling it. Also same for Cranberry Grinder!
From my experience, there are 4 possible squirrel spawns at the Whitespring. Start at the train station and go towards the back entrance of the Enclave bunker. You should run into 1 or 2 squirrels along the way before you run into molerats. To get to the next possible location, go back to the train station and go towards the right this time. Go look behind the first houses on the right and you should see radstag corpse with a tree on top of it. The squirrels should be right in front of it next to a skeleton and an aid container.
I Would Mention Not to forget fastnacht sausages.. Gives you 100hp ( Hello godmode) and it Takes 1 spices, 2 intestine, 2 spoiled meat, 1 thick blood.. downside it only lasts 30 min
To get the recipe For tasty squirrel stew all you have to do a server hop at camp Adams The recipe will be right there on the bench next to the robot there’s another spot in the forest where I got mine the spot where you get the handmade weapon plan I actually forgot the name of the place it’s where you get the honk the train horn/ Harpers ferry that’s the name of the place
Smoked Mirelurk Filets are better than Pepperoni Rolls for one reason. They last an hour and a half(and let you breathe underwater, but meh). Gulpers also aren't very common, while mirelurks are, well, everywhere.
The best way to get thistles is to go to willard corporate housing at night since they glow at night. Theres a couple that spawns just a couple of meters of the south fence of wavy willards water park. some spawn in willard corporate housing. Theres some in the hill between willards corporate housing and wavy willards water park. One spawns into the east fence of wavy willards water park. One spawns on the north east corner outside wavy willards water park. A couple spawns on the north side of wavy willards water park, about 20 meters north of the fence. Should be like 10-12 thistles in total.
Line in the Sand is a great event for xp/scorchbeasts. Double XP weekend in particular I was getting 2 brains and at least five levels alone from that one. Usually see three beasts throughout the duration.
Honestly I’ve been considering dropping carnivor for herbivor hate needing to go find meat if I get u hungry when I got a farm already for chems Amd booze might as well be a. Vegan
You can get free pepperoni rolls at the Wayward but there is a catch! You can not finish that quest line, once you save Sol and Polly(Strength in Numbers quest) they go away, else they're on the counter just to right of Duchess or left as you look at her, on the plate.
I usually use Stingwing Filet instead of Deathclaw Steak since it's a natural by-product of hunting Stingwing for Stingwing Barb for daily. It has the same buff.
Scotchbeast steak also gives you 38 damage resist on top of the 500 hp- lung 8 agility- liver 8 luck -brain 8 intelligence -hear 8 endurance while on a public team
Don't forget grilled radstag! It's carry weight buff is a little less (40 iirc) but it's super easy to farm. Butchers bounty at Colonel Kelly Monument usually nets enough that I use it as my main food.
I feel like they should get rid of the spoilage meter on food, I would be more inclined to make food if it didn’t spoil on me. So that I could craft for a day and be good for the week.
Go to the chinese base the deep or the abyss dunno the name something like that but go inside those tunnels equip green thumb and pick up those thistle you can find around 20 or something..
No mention of Softshell Mirelurk Cake (not Cooked Softshell Meat). It gives you +AGI for an hour long duration. Also I think the power of a consumable should also be weighted by their duration over just their raw bonuses. A consumable that gives you an hour long duration is quite less of a hassle when it comes to buff management over a consumable that has a thirty minute duration or less. It's also worth mentioning that most consumables that require salt, pepper, spices, honey, or mirelurk eggs have an hour long buff duration, I find. But the usefulness of all of those consumables crafted with those ingredients ranges from good to so-so.
Also, I seriously wish that the buff duration of consumables was more well documented. It's extremely annoying that this information is not complete in any of the wikis for the game.
@@AngryTurtle test it brother. I got carnivore, just ate relish, under the effect I got bonus XP +10% (59m). Or is it another Pipboy mutations info bug?
But turtle ive notice that when I have made a couple of these foods when you die the buff falls off has thid happen to you or you think its just part of the game?.
Have you looked at the 45 smg with the scorch killer receiver on one with faster fire rate it take the firerate up to 159 on my bloodied ffr its insane another thing bathesda has cooked I think cause non of the other receivers up the firerate
Thank you for this. Very helpful! I'm a hoarder so I am always over encumbered, especially wearing power armor. Peperoni Roll is great but a grind just for ingredients. I prefer using a simple Grilled Radstag. You get 40 extra carry weight and it lasts quite a while (30 minutes I think). I just eat one every hour and I am always able to carry extra stuff. Radstags are everywhere. Kill, cook, eat. Simple. It also persists on server hop and the perk stacks with other meat like Scorchbeast.
PhotriusPyrelus correct. All of my non-power armor has deep pockets but when I wear my X01 even with calibrated legs, I show 330 out of 335 carry, while in marine armor I carry 130/290. My carry perks affect non PA. I’m open to suggestions.
@@kraigkern oh that's a good one to have. I think that's better than the tadpole mod to be honest. Chem weighs a lot, you'd go over the 60 extra capacity easily from the tadpoles
I use Mirelurk Jerky to increase damage resistance +15, and it gives 60 HP. You need Mirelurk meat, Blight (lots in the Ash Heap), boiled water and 2 salt. As a carnivore I go on regular salt runs because it's needed for so many dishes.
