Entry level AI Engieer pay in San Francisco, CA, USA is only about $465,000.....but with the high cost of living there that is only middle class. haha

@@exaltitude In order to be a top AI engineer in a company like Netflix, is having a PHD is important. These high salaries for exceptional AI engineers, is it only for someone having a PHD. Hello first of all loved the content, but can you explain more the adequate background for the role of an AI engineer ? Is it software engineering exclusively or the door is open for backgrounds from other fields such as applied mathematics (PhD, master's degree level)

Ma'am is it true that mostly folks with masters or phd in ai only get packages over 100k usd ? pls reply ma'am as im confused between taking btech cse or btech aiml Im confused between targetting ai engineering right from 1st sem or web dev for the initial part and then switch to ai ml in my 3rd sem. These high salaries are clearly for the highest IQ, highest potential candidates. These 'special' people can easily be identified - even if they at the start of their career. The main point is that they are VERY VERY VERY rare.

I have gotten these pays for a long time and I have a very average IQ. According to a quick google search there are about 120,000 FAANG engineers. Half of the companies on the list were not even FAANG companies, so there are lots more who get these high pays. I guess you can call that rare, but "rare" is relative.

You are correct. Half of the people are below average, and IQ for software engineers is above average. Peter Jordanson made a video about jobs and the required IQ. It's here in RU-vid somewhere....
