The fact that the most intense scene in the show was when lauryn escaped through a fucking fire exit in a shopping mall just shows u how good curtis character was
Agreed. Incredible scene and acting. I think you have to give just as much or more credit to Lauren's actor though. Her performances this season blew me away. Her terror was palpable.
Curtis is such a realistic take on gaslighting & controlling behavior , he talks calmly to make it seem like he knows what is best for her … it just shows how unhinged he is
Jaq is honestly the most loyal one on the show , Dushane,Sully & Jamie constantly let down people they love (Cousin from Jamaica, Dris, Mom,The kid from the fire, Sully’s daughter, Aaron, Steph ..etc) Jaq has always been there for her sister even when Lauryn made mistakes
Sully went to jail tho and plus for jason sully tried to but he couldn’t get up the window where jason was at he even went back in you can see the pain in sullys face when he realizes he cant save jason
@@needa2164 watch the whole show and then talk bc i remember dris selling them out twice, once when they got shot at by modie and jermaine plus the other time when london fields ran into the cafe ghat dushane and sully usually chill at
@@fireytrain5582 He knew how it felt to be betrayed by Dris & have to shoot your own friend… why would he shoot Jamie after they basically threaten him if he didn’t kill off Kit ?
Props to the intelligence of the taxi driver for not opening the door. A lot of people would have believed what Curtis and his crew were saying and oepned the door.
The way he was waffling about her being mentally ill so the guy would let her out the car. Most man would've definitely told her to fuck off if it meant they were safe instead of just driving off.
When Curtis loosely grips her neck at 8:05 gives me chills. If she wasn't pregnant with his child, he would be violent with her and eventually kill her.
Curtis is probably the best new comer ever. He absolutely made me hate him on the new series after presenting some dark persona with his controlling abusive antics. The actor really killed it! 👏🏿👏🏿
Sisters will always look out for one another. Annoying has Lauryn was she did what was absolutely necessary. Her storyline in general was very important. Because emotional abuse is a real thing that people in some relationships unfortunately go through. As for Jaqs absolutely love her character. If there is anyone who deserves a spin off it should be her. She is Top Gal. They developed her character well and Jasmine Jobson did a phenomenal job.
Jacq is top gyal the story line between the sisters is so touching and I really love jacq character there are two sides to her but she is proper loyal ride or die for her sister when she bathes Lauryn I shed tears because you could tell she really loves her sister they have a real bond
Jaq acting this season was especially so good. She’s so loyal and never lets anything happen to the people she loves and cares for. It was so hard to see her sister living through hell and dushane not really caring that she had to take it in her own hands. It shouldn’t have never came to that but it did
@@channel55andaboxoftissues16 Now that is one awful set of choices. Power was cool 'till Ghost turned out to be a super hero evading cops and his wife while being a major drug dealer. Raising Kanan is cool though
Just realized Dushane never told Sully about Lauryn like he told Jaq he would In other news, it’s funny how Shelley was pushed in front of the fans before the season came out (because it’s Little Simz, and rightfully so) but Jaq should get way more shine. she’s actually one of the stars of the show, behind Dushane, Sully & Jamie
It’s so realistic cause I’ve heard real life story’s of this and the woman end up dead they are completely different at the start of the relationship and change after a bit
I'm scared , because Vee was already the hardest one with her brother ALIVE and he was her : " nah, sis...its ok, calm down", anger filter Curtis is dead and Vee has no anger filter plus knows where most of them are located and they ( other than the two runners) don't know what she looks like The war is just starting.
Curtis was much scarier though. Where as Vee was outwardly horrendous, you couldn't help but feel everytime you saw Curtis that he was suppressing some really dark evil shit that was bubbling under the surface. I was waiting for him to do some mad shit but it never transpired unfortunate. What a shame really enjoyed his performance
Honestly tho if u were Jaq, how many chances will u give Lauryn cos she always fucks up to the point where she puts Jaq’s life at stake, for me if she fucks up major after she’s had her baby, I’m gone 😳
Vee is such a badass. She got slapped in the face. Took her glock out, cocked it. In her leather pants, coat, and stilettos said 'Try it again. I fackin' dare ya?' 😂
who was running with lauren in that shopping center escape scene 👋 as weird as it sounds curtis was the best character in the show idk what the rush in killing him off so soon was, they got another series they could of milked this story line they like this show to be realistic so realistically being stuck in an abusive relationship can be for years not weeks
@@shd9999 the actual timeline of everything that happens in Topboy is probably quite long but they just have to be condensed into 10 episodes. if that makes sense.
Jaq to Sully: "Lauryns my sister and I would ride out for her until the end. The same way I rode out for you. Which I would do again and again, cos that's what you do for your family" - you know that's what Sully thought about when the final scene with Jamie and Kit played out.
Oh my! I noticed the same thing as well and was quite annoyed with it. At the end of day most of the oringanl crew had westindian backgrounds so they should have really kept it in.
A little soon to be spoiling the season for folks don't you think??? TBH; as controlling as Curtis was. He wouldn't have hurt Lauryn. Now his sister on the other hand...Wait till the final season!
He would definitely have killed Lauryn at some point man was a psychopath. Did you miss the not so subtle hands around her neck when he found her at the end and him saying he will find her if she runs again no matter where she goes?
Curtis is dead, so does that mean Lauren is entitled to the house & business.? If not Lauren, the baby would be yeah? How awesome would it be ….next series Jaq & Curtis sister go toe to toe phew 😮💨
Yeah but she walked into that wall, innit⁉️ Lauren is always going to be a problem for Jaq because she IS a problem. Thinks she can slide the easy way thru the fellas. Nah. Jaq lucky she talked to Dushane and not Sully. Wait on that.
Lauryn IS the problem in Summer house I hope she dont get her sis Jaq killed wiith her stupidity gossip and drama loving ways.....Plot twist the baby she carries is Leightons 😂
