@@N0Xa880iUL bhai I know, but even if you dont know, just try to imagine how gears attach to one another. the teeth on gears cannot be changed dynamically, they just are attached when you link them together, by putting the car on gear. but yes, 1st/rev gear vs 3-5 any gear, 1st and rev will be stronger. Coz even at 5th gear you will be able to move the wheel by your hand on a mounted vehicle. Coming back to 1st and rev, its just our thinking 1st is to go forward and rev for reverse thats why we should put them accordingly at stationary. if the crank rotation is reversed on rev gear, the car will move forward. on stationary, does not matter at all. IF you have car, keep it toward down the slope, put 1st gear with engine off, and try to push the car.
@@Eren-da-Jaeger OK first of all...Thanks for this. I searched it up quite a bit and indeed it all made sense. Yes you are right. I would like to share some other tips I found. Which are easily available on wikihow and some forums. Of them two interesting ones are...1. If parked on a slope between two vehicles...Don't put it in gear at all...Because if you are bumped, it will damage that transmission gear. 2.1st gear and reverse ratios are not probably same...So put it in the highest ratio possible.
I am only a RU-vid driver so far but this guy appears to be an ideal instructor for everyone. Simple, calm and a little condescending ( look at that idiot ) keep going boss, respect from Pakistan
Sir, very very useful tips,Thanx Aapki video lambi ho koi problem nahi, ye sab aap hum logoke aache ke liye free of cost kar rahe ho. Once again many Thanx. ☺👌👍
Excellent tip about over use of brake. Even if you are good at using engine breaking, still there is a chance of over heating of brake liners, especially when going downhill for long duration. In that case it's wise to take a few breaks and give time to the brake liners to cool down. Learned it the hard way recently on 4 Dham Yatra.
Very well explained 👌 Safety should always come FIRST whether one is driving alone or accompanied and any misadventure and/ir stunts can lead to serious - and sometimes, fatal consequences especially when driving uphill or downhill on narrow ghat section. Thanks for the safe driving tips provided by you,🙏🙏 Awaiting your next video on uphill driving skills please ....
One important tip while driving at night or when their is fog u should stick as close as possible to the hill,so that u don't miss the turn and crash down the hill.Nice informative video. And if u r driving on the other side i.e towards the valley, u should avoid the trip and plan for the next day .. LoL 🐱
MOST MOST MOST Valuable advice. I made the mistake of switching off the engine downhill and was not able to apply breaks. I got panic when breaks were not working. But fortunately, God-given hint to switch on the engine to me and saved us from the accident. It would have been great if I watched this video before. Drive safe guys. Thanks a lot, Vicky Sir.
Same happened with me today but I knew we should not turn off the engine but for some reason it got turned off also my engine was not Turning on so I applied handbrake in 2nd gear and then turned on the engine
On the contrary driving in hills is many times safer compared to plains. You just have to be follow rules. I drive in Uttarakhand. Statically number of accidents and deaths is much lower in hills when compared to plains on the basis of number of vehicles.
Very good video, especially for most Indians where very few actually know the right things to do for hill driving. This video didn't have hair-pin bends. Hair pin bends and steep hair-pin bends pose a challenge of their own. In this case the biggest challenge is for the one going up-hill, so the down-hill driver should have the courtesy to not make life of up-hill driver harder. Few additional important things: (1) Know the capability of your vehicle - Petrol and Diesel vehicles behave very differently in hills. Diesel vehicles, even with low CC-rating (engine capacity) have lot of low-end torque which is essential for steep uphill climbs, or when vehicle is heavily loaded. High revving in low-gears will quickly overheat most petrol vehicles, so try not to over-revv. Again knowing your own vehicle's "comfortable" vs "struggling" engine sound and moving to right gear is important. Do not overload and over-stress vehicle. (2) Then try not to go into the loose gravel parts when parking/stopping or make sudden movements there. They are a ready recipe for skids. (3) You already mentioned it, but you didn't show a clear text like for other advice -- "patience". It is often said that person who hurries on hills, is hurrying to yamaraj. (4) If one needs to stop/park for any reason, do so by turning the steering wheel to an extreme position in such a way that if the handbrake fails for any reasons when on an incline, the vehicle should go and gently strike a wall or obstruction. For example if there is a rock wall on left and if one is stopping on left side during up-hill climb, turn the steering to turn wheels as if for extreme left turn. This way, if brake fails the vehicle will rollback leftwards, strike the wall gentle and not skid back. (5) Especially for underpowered vehicle and vehicles with balding tyres, avoid uphill climb when it rains. Your traction will reduce so much that before you know, you may start rolling back
Very good bhai me khud ek driver hu aap ki jankari bhut she a logo k liye or ek baat or AGR turn me koe aap ko overtek Kr RHA ho to apni gadi ki speed km kr k usko ovetek krne de isse aapki b sefty h or aap ek smjdar driver bn skte h
Very well explained especially for those drivers who drive only within city. Experience is the best teacher and you pick up good habits of driving (as you explained in the video) automatically through experience.
Wow! U have explained very well, in terms of both , how to drive safely and using one's intellectual during a sharp turn by slowing down the vehicle, that's really a matter of concern.. Thanks a lot sir...
Down shifting needed brake + clause or vice verse, plz specify again. Clauses is equivalent to neutral? So plz specify technically about applying clauses. Thank
Sab toh thik h bhai lekin gaddi meh kabi brake fail he nhi hota agar app gaadi ki service time to time kar rahe ho toh. Aur hilly region meh brake wire heat hone ka chance b ni h kyun ki wo area bht chill aur cold hota .
BAHUT BAHUT DHANYAVAD SIR JI AAPNE DHASOO BAATEIN BATAAI BILKUL SAHI BAAT HAI ZAROORI HAI SABKO PATA HONA CHAHIYE YEH BAAT THANKS VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION
I have an automatic adapted vehicle (meant for differently able drivers). The car happens to be a K10. Since the vehicle has no clutch, I'm forced to keep my hand over the brake cum accelerator. Are there chances of my brake failing? Sorry if my question sounds stupid; I'm a new learner.
My name is Semik Vishwakarma from the western mountainous region of Nepal. I would like to learn driving a car in very mountainous roads up and down of our village in the summer vacation.
One thing is us said never off engine because steering will get heavy but the reality is steering will locked and u will not be able to move the steering when the engine is off so never even try this this can be very dangerous in hills 2nd u said don't drive in nuetral on downhill i agree but if u are in a jam downhill... Neutral is the best way rather changing gears continuously
Hello bhau bahut achi video hain magr ek baat ki jankaari sab ko jarur de jab bhi overtake krna ho ya dena ho to kon sa indicator use krna hain kyuinki aaj kal Sabse jyada accident Galt ishare ki bjh hote hain
Nice video...... but Bhai brakes ka use jyada krne se kabhi fail Ni hote..... Or gear turn se pehle Ni lagate because pehle se judge kaise karenge ki speed kitni hogi after turning....
Bhai kaise uphill par bina rukey engine nahi off huye jaisey kaisey chalaye reverse me excalator dethey hooo video me zaroor batha naa plzz pura car learning kaha par kaisey turn horn reverse parking video banake dikhavona bhai plzz aur haa traffic me kaise chaleye uturn kaisey karey colony me kaise chalaye
Kripya bataye ki jb gadi ko uphill karte samay ya chadhai karte samay jam lag jata hai or gadi ko rokna pade fir rokne k baad chalna pade tab kya kare or gadi 1 inch bhi dhalan me back na ho ?
Agar gaadi uphill pe 3rd gear pe ja rahi hai tou downhill pe kaun se gear pe down karein 2rd or 3rd . Kya diesel petrol gaadi dono pe ek hi niam laagu hota hai
One point that I missed is.... U CAN ALSO CALCULATIVELY USE THE HAND BRAKE AS WELL...BCOZ HAND BRAKES DOESNT WORK ON HYDRAULIC PRINCIPLE..... BUT MIND IT....HAND BRAKES MUST ONLY BE USE TO COMPLETELY STOP THE CAR ONCE U HAVE COME ON THE FIRST GEAR USING ENGINE BRAKING....AND WHEN .... The vehicle's speed is under 20 km per hour....use HAND BRAKE TO STOP IT..
