In the final episode of the MUNCHIES Guide to Sweden, we explore the growth and popularity of New Nordic Cuisine. Our host Ivar travels across the country to meet the chefs who are influenced by defining this new culinary tradition on their own terms.
First, Ivar visits Ekstedt in Stockholm, where owner Niklas is going back to basics and cooking all his dishes with traditional Nordic techniques. He also visits Koka in Göteborg-one of the best restaurants in the country-before finishing our trip at Bastard in Malmö, where head chef Andreas Dahlberg has his own take on the New Nordic manifesto.

This is definitely the best munchies segment. Everything about Sweden is amazing. Even the host is my favorite host yet. Hes funny and humble. More Scandinavia!!!

I'm sad to see this serie end, Ivar is such a cool guy! I don't know many Swedes, but somehow they seem like great, warm and hospitable people. Looking forward to see Ivar return for Munchies!

This is what Munchies is: Great series focused on interesting things w/ a unique presenter that's unpretentious and funny. Really liked this series.

I enjoyed this series and am delighted to see it finish on a strong note. I lived in Sweden for a time as a kid, and years later, as a young Chef, I listed to family friends complaining about the restaurant scene in Stockholm, during the time California came into its own.

What a great series guys!! I enjoyed every seconds of it! Can we please have some more of this host as well, he is wonderful. Makes me want to go to Sweden and take a long walk and eat my way around the country just like he did :)

That was an excellent series. One of the better ones in a while, the host was charasmatic and the content was very interesting. Hope to see Ivar again!
