It's intuition + experience. They "read" the body position of the opponent in the moment they kick the ball to sense where the ball will go.

탁구는 겉으로 보기에는 굉장히 단순한 게임으로 보입니다. 다른 스포츠들에 비해서 상대적으로 작은 경기장 작은 공 작은 채. 하지만 선수들의 노력끝에 이렇게 다채로운 장면들을 우리에게 보여줄 수 있다는 점을 감사히 생각합니다.
