Exactly. She gives us ideas and we can find items at affordable prices. I recently was in a very expensive boutique shop in Hampton Court UK and I was wearing my silver slouchy bag over my shoulder and the owner admired my bag. I just said thank you and didn't tell her it was £14 from Primark. 😅 Just shows. She had no clue and had probably never shopped in Primark in her life so the joke was on me. 😂😅
My excitement is watching her style them to give me ideas of what to look for when I am thrifting or in retail clearance areas or grabbing something from my closet. Since I am an old clothes hoarder (62 yo) it great to see new ways of freshen things up. My coins are tight since I retired and when you read reviews for this company, sizing a big problem (getting what you ordered) and you have to pay shipping for returns and customer account sucks because they don’t respond to inquiries and it take months and people still waiting for their refunds is a trend.
I love your excitement about clothes and styling. It's the energy that drives your creativity. Anyone who hates on it doesn't understand how artists work lol. I love watching you in your flow. :) 💖
You are the best at keeping us up to date with each seasons fashion. I'm with you every Friday. Keep on giving us fashion pointers. We just love you.❤❤❤
I love that you stick to your true style no matter what! Also, I agree burgundy isn’t new, they’re just ultra emphasizing it. Who doesn’t wear, brown, black, grey, burgundy, navy, green, burnt orange! Duh!!! All Fall colors! Karen, Thank you for setting the record straight! lol 😍🙏🏽
Just had to mention this…Funny that I am watching two women from the UK, shopping in my home town of Brooklyn while I am here visiting London! Looking forward to seeing you & Trinny👏🏾
I totally agree, burgundy is NOT a trend. It’s been a popular “neutral”/colour for decades actually. Back in 1999, when the first Matrix movie was released, I was inspired by the characters’ long, lean black leather coats. I loved the silhouette because I am petite and thought it would be flattering on me (or anyone else). However, I thought most people would go out and buy a black leather coat in that shape and I didn’t want to look like everyone else, so I found one in burgundy leather. Burgundy was somewhat “trendy” at the time but not as much as black. I got tons of compliments from it and still sometimes do to this day. I still wear it periodically, 25 years later! Like brown, cream, tan and camel colours and jewel tones for fall (as you mentioned), I knew the colour and shape of my burgundy coat would not go out of style for a long time. Over the past 25 years, I’ve seen burgundy come in and fall out of popularity quite a number of times. It’s difficult to tell that my burgundy coat is 25 years old because it still looks modern today. It was a great/wise buy because leather coats were a lot less expensive compared to today. Colour has always been my thing since childhood, so it’s definitely nothing new to me. What makes old “trends” refreshed again are the colours combined with new shapes or traditional shapes previously not typically used with certain materials or traditional patterns and materials cut in a modern and innovative way, etc.
The clothing closet I volunteer at has been a great way to take your inspiration and better people's attitudes about what they have access to and how to make the best of it and really look good! I love seeing people enlightened about style!
What I love about you Karen is that you are as much a fangirl about fashion as I am. I have actually squealed in delight at finding a skirt, bag, dress or shoes I love. The ones who get it understand the reaction. And that bomber jacket! I have one from the 1990s that is similar in style but it's a rich caramel shade. I guess it's time to pull it out of storage and put it back into the mix. I love your channel and don't ever stop being you.
I love your enthusiasm about clothes. Specifically, the cut, fabric, fit, etc. I'm the granddaughter of a seamstress who worked in a factory assembling clothes, so I know what goes into quality. Love your style!
I had a few weeks of feeling a bit ''low'', recently I feel excited about going out . . . even just to the shops . . . and I realised that in Autumn I can wear my ''good'' clothes again. I have been complemented three times lately, twice in my men's dog-tooth jacket (charity shop find). Yes I love clothes too, thanks K.
Hi Karen. I love, love your channel and I've been following you for more than 5 years. I miss the Vintage shopping on your channel though. You really have a gift for mixing trends and Vintage pieces. Watching your videos on RU-vid is always a treat. Big hug!!
I love the way the leather mini looked over the skirt and I like the vests with the strong shoulders, perfect for me for work! That row bag is gorgeous really love the shape.
I am screaming right now! Both you and Trinny, yes yes yes. Both my girls are flying the flag for England 🏴 if you didn’t guess? I am a mix of Trinidad and Grenadian who was born and raised in England 🏴 I truly love how you Miss Karen, get so excited about fashion, trends and those special key pieces for our wardrobes, I just cannot get enough of the shrieking in sheer delight, it truly makes watching your videos even more enjoyable 💯👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👋🏾🙏🏾
The chocolate brown off the shoulder top in this video really does fit well and I picked up the cream denim skirt as well as the skater tops and the knit. I am looking forward to their arrival!
Getting me excited about the change of season and expanding my pallette of colors. We all need your zeal for the infinite possibilities of fashion. Yes! Go burgundy 🎉
You bring the excitement of like every day is Christmas when showing us the new things received. My excitement is watching you style them to give me ideas of what to look for when I am thrifting or in retail clearance areas or grabbing something from my closet. Since I am an old clothes hoarder it great to see new ways of freshen things up. My thing to try and do this Fall is get in the mind set of getting rid of save for special occasions and wear my stuff.
Loved this! So agree...some of the "trends" are really forever standards for fall, like suede, chocolate brown, burgundy. I've always worn these and I have a beautiful chocolate brown leather jacket I bought years ago! The older it gets, the better it looks.🙏🏾✌🏾
I am so grateful for you Karen because you keep my fashion and design fire STOKED! I'm wanting to make my blue wool trench I have been putting off for years now. Thank you!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Definitely agree regarding the color trends for Fall, browns & tans, off-white or creams, burgundy. I would also add the dark greens. Denim & suede in various colors will definitely be in style. Loved your outfits and bags!💖❤
Karen, your visuals are soooo goooood❤❤❤ video covers - the combinations of light, colors and tones are soo appealing, it's like I'm looking at the cool photographer's magazine 😎 ❤
I just ordered the Midi Denim Skirt. Thanks for the discount offer. Urban Revivo carries some nice pieces. I started shopping them in S.E. Asia around a decade ago as there are big stores all over the region. I always look forward to dropping into their stores. Wide selection of items. Greetings from Los Angeles
I just loved the faux leather over the denim skirt plus I just ordered the bomber jacket …. I’m counting on your review because their weren’t any current reviews on the website ❤️❤️❤️
LOVED THE PASSION IM THE SAME I GET SO EXCITED WITH COLOURS TOO GREAT VLOG NICE TOO SEE YOU AND TRINNY TOGETHER DO MORE LIKE THAT WITH PEOPLE YOU KNOW FROM NEW ZEALAND
I love your excitement over fashion. Me, too. I have a brown corduroy double breasted blazer that I bought maybe 30 years ago. I called it my Cliff Richard jacket because he wore one like it in one of his movies. I kept it because I still love it and it's been in style off and on over the years. I will never part with it.
I keep wanting to straighten your skirts! 😂 I thrifted 5 suede jackets. Yes, 5! All in excellent condition and cheapest was $10 and most expensive was a trench for $33. So much good vintage out there. No reason to spend a lot. I post myself. Posted 2 different corduroy pieces last week. ❤️
Such a great video and I love how you break down the finer details. That cropped brown jacket is everything you said it is…this video has me refreshed for fall lol…I see why you love working with Urban Revivo…such unique items and you definitely know how to pick them. You are the prettiest! ❤
When u do these videos,,,,every time u give me the motivation to go hunting for certain pieces, also I always rearrange my closet and pull up the trends that u mention, I feel sooooooo much closer to looking great for the season, thanks for the motivation and I love yr energy and excitement,,,,,great video
I agree with classics always being in and they always say they are trending! I’m an earth girl so brown and burgundy always have my heart. Also loving deep navy and hunter green and rust! ♥️
Karen and Trinny collab. 😮 I have been manifesting this for years and it is finally happening!!!! These two are the only fashion people I follow so to see them together is just fab.😁
This video was so enjoyable.🎉 Moreover, I’m a big fan of various shades of brown/tan in boots and purses. 👛 Your excitement cracks me up because I too get excited about style.
Hello Miss Sunshine!!!! Layer the leather dress with some leather pants!!!! LOVE IT ALL!!!! hope you rest well and stop ad take in New York in the fall!
Your layering is always perfection!! That dress over the skirt!? Wow!! Suggestion on sizing for the blue denim skirt and brown bomber…I’m a US 4-6. Thanks so much for being you ❤
Hi Karen, great video. It’s always great to have this advices and to spend time talking trends ….burgundy…..i Loved this color ! it goes with everything : navy blue, green, ……even with pink ! So chic !
I love my Row Margaux bags. The suede is yummy, and the pebbled leather is wonderful as well. I wear suede year round. The suede bags from Ralph Lauren are beautiful as well. At a lower price point, the suede bags from Parker Thatch are great value too! The large tote bag Jane in espresso is to die for. Dare I say better than my Row bags.
I love when you said when you put on this jacket," you can't tell me nothing. " I love you, Karen. You're so funny. Also I was waiting for that camel pic😅
Those braids though..It suits you so well, if I had yr hair & skin tone, I'd always have that hairdo. It gives also such a cool vibe to the clothes, yet not taking over the style, love it! To me, suede is a classic, always loved it, always will. But.., now when it's every where, I tend to avoid it some, don't want to get bored about my beloved suede. So, I sold my brown suede fringed jacket because of that...and now regret it😅
Your style is awesome ❤❤ I love these deep chocolate browns and tans yay to Autumn 🍁🍁 it's my fav season for clothes layers and all!! Btw the bags are everything love it 😍
I used to love corduroy when I was in my teens and early 20's, but I don't care for it anymore. I get excited about clothes/accessories/shoes, but I don't follow fashion and trends like you do. I work from home, and I don't have many events/outings to attend, but I'm currently on the hunt for a few more vintage pieces.
HAPPY FALL FRIDAY IN OCTOBER Karen and Michael. KAREN, love the way you layered the pants under the skirt, remind me of the 70s, SHARP OUTFITS. Thanks so much for your motivation and inspiration for Fashion. ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND! No PLACE like Home. STTB 2XS🍂🍂🍂🍂
Always, always loved layering..! since ever.! To me it’s the best way to really style clothes in each people way..! Layering is just fab and unique..! ❤️Ur a Queen of it ! Karen.! 💙💙💙🇫🇷🇺🇸🇬🇧🥰🥰💐
Well you're right Karen, "good evening, good morning depending 😊 thank you, for sharing love you're ideas. ...And Yes you and Trinny London together, I was watching her channel a few days ago and she mentioned meeting you while she is in New York City. I hope we get to see you both together, That Karen would be Fabulous 🎉
I love, love, love corduroy...I grew up wearing corduroy bell bottoms for years, all through middle school and high school (1974 - 1980). The other fabric I Iove (for spring/summer) is seersucker which I can never find anymore. New Balance is a great company, family business in Maine. The only thing about suede is that it not great in wet weather, but love it too!
