Agree 100%. I will make note of this painter. I love the starry night of van gogh. His style and technique brings the picture into som sort of a live image. I feel the same with this one. Obviously an original van gogh are not an option. But this Cortes might be. Just wonderful :)

@ekimshield I've studied Kinkade’s work from when he was a teenager. He had the chops. Like him or not (I like him, too), he did what no artist has done since Leonardo. The book, ”Billion Dollar Painter” is remarkable. It's heartbreaking how things turned out, but it doesn't negate what he accomplished.

Yes, it happens....... my aunt and uncle had a painting hanging in their home for almost 60 years, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, that they purchased in 1958 during a trip to Europe. They passed away, and my cousins had an estate sale. A painting of a Spanish looking man was among the items to be sold. I do believe that my family knew it was Jesus because we are Catholic and the hand is up in a fashion of giving a blessing. Well, some men had been looking for this painting for quite some time and when they noticed it in a brochure that the New Orleans auction house had made for this sale, they came to the auction and purchased it for about 2,000. (My aunt and uncle purchased it for about $120 American dollars). Well , the new owner sold it with the help of, I think, sotheby's auction house, and made a whopping 120 million!!!! In this story, as I read online when trying to figure this out, I do not understand if it was this man that bought it from my cousins, or if it was the person that paid 120 million, who had it restored. Anyway, one of the new owners brought it to a lady who took about 5 or 6 years to restore it. The mustache and beard were removed due to not being original and a few other things. So, here is the big clincher......!!!!!......!!!!!!...... this painting is the Salvatore Mundi, (Savior of the World) by Leonardo Di Vinci. !!!!!!!! What?!?!?! Are you kidding me?!?!?! So, the person who bought it for the millions, sold it after the restoration with another auction house, and a Saudi Prince bought it for 450 million dollars!!!!!!!!! So, this , of course, made the local news in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and when it came to light what this painting was, my cousins were shocked, to say the least, and said they wish they had known, and that they hadn't have sold it. They too would have had it restored and put in a museum, but would have retained ownership. Wow!!!!! We are pretty sure that my aunt and uncle did not know that it was painted by Di Vinci. It may have been pawned off as being by one of his students. Or, perhaps it was just somehow lost over time and was sold as a "copy" or something . Some people on the different comment threads say it is a fake and that it still isn't real, but when you listen to how the professionals describe every technique, etc, I think it is real...
