I’d probably stay away from lionfish (because I have clumsy hands and I will definitely get stung) and opt for a tang or a trigger as a first fish as they are healthy, easy to care for and eat much easier to find food such as prepared and sea veggies. My female blue throat trigger loves her herbivore pellets and it’s literally all she eats and wont pay any mind to shellfish which is crazy.
