This ru-vid.comUgkxATHBlMJwipGgVWseuAFKvDQ_5R4_lywo unit was an easy install and turned out amazing. The dimensions were exact! I took a chance and built the wall prior to receiving the unit which arrived sooner than expected and it fit right in the space I constructed. The heat output is perfect for the space we needed and made the room exactly how we envisioned it to turn out. I am happy to answer any questions to the best of my ability. Thank you for the awesome product just in time for the holidays.
silly me, I thought electric fire places were cheaper than gas! These are $2800 to $5000!!!! The cheapest "runner up" model is $2100. There has got to be a very nice profit margin on these units. might want to mention at least ball park price as that is one of the biggest factors!
Personally, I think the flame on the Modern Flames Pro Slim is much more full then your No. 1 pick right below it. The flame on the Ignite looks sparse. Maybe it's different in person. Thanks for the informative video. I'm looking into electric fireplaces at this time.
Hello, Thank you for the great video! I've found it now and I'm looking for a fireplace solution at the moment into my livingroom. I loved the Dimplex Opti-Myst. I'm from a little country in the middle of Europe and at the moment it seems I can't reach a distributor. Do you maybe know is there a possibility to reach them from here and aquire the good. :D Thank you in advance!
This would be great, but you’re not taking shots of the fireplaces head on in some of the examples and you don’t show it in the dark the way you would be sitting in front of it on a cold night with the lights off. But otherwise great!
That's the Netzero water place . It really depends how large you go. it can range from 3k-6k. We don't ship to UK. It should work there. It does best indoor.
@@embersliving I’m doing my homework. I definitely need a propane vent free for our bedroom. I wish I come come to the showroom. Thanks for you’re videos they are more helpful then you think.
I was utterly surprised to discover you can purchase electric 'fires' with no heating element. Obviously useful if you live in a warm climate, but of no value whatsoever if you live, like me, in the UK. Still some incredibly helpful videos posted by you so thank you.
Great video. Normally at 30 minutes I’d skip through, but you’re so informative, honest and critical when need be, that I watched the whole thing. Now I just need to decide if I’m gonna wait another year for the Bold.
I live on the east coast but I still can't understand why anyone would purchase a fireplace that doesn't put out Heat. That's like a deli that doesn't sell meat
I just returned from a fireplace store and looked at the Pro Slim on the wall, lights on and off. It looked SOOO fake, I hated it. Looked like geometric shapes on the wall. Now I will admit the remote he was using didn't quite look like the one you used, and didn't have a color wheel, so maybe it was an older model?? Anyway, wish the store had the multi thicker one to compare. Will keep looking. Thank you.
I came in searching for the most realistic-looking fireplace. The Opti-Myst is by far the leader, and living in South Texas I have no need for heat. Thanks for the video!
Are there any realistic electric fireplaces that look like a traditional fireplace/hearth? A bit disappointed that this video only had the long/linear ones. Some don’t like that modern look.
Great information. This video helped guide us in looking for a 6" depth linear fireplace. We considered the Amantii Symmetry Bespoke, the Dimplex IgniteXL and the Modern Flames Landscape Pro Slim. We went with an 80" Modern Flames Landscape Pro Slim. Here's why: 1) The trim is thin and sleek, and we had the option to go trim-less, which we did. (This knocked the Amantii out of the running for us, but otherwise the Amantii was appealing). 2) We wanted a fireplace that would integrate with Google Home so that we can use voice commands to turn it on and off (rather than digging out the remote control or manually switching it on and off). Integrating the Modern Flames with Google Home was easy and, so far, using voice commands to turn it on and off works flawlessly. The Dimplex lacks this feature. 3) We like the flames and the color options of the Modern Flames better than those on the Dimplex. 4) Our fireplace is mounted in a room with large windows that provide a lot of natural light. We liked having the option to replace the glass with the screen to reduce/eliminate reflections. After installing the fireplace and trying it out, reflections off of the glass are not bad at all (maybe because the glass is slanted backwards), so I don't think we will be needing the screen. Side Note: We are using the fireplace for aesthetics, and not really concerned about the heat output (we live in a sub-tropical climate). However, if we lived where winters are cold, the higher heat output of the Dimplex if using 240V would have been a major consideration.
I love the video and this comment. I am down to the exact same 3! Would love to include the Orion but it's just out of my budget. Again, I love these videos they have helped me SO much and this comment has helped me to choose the Modern Flames Landscape pro Slim.
I think you're#1 is my last favorite, because the flame is smaller and more spread out and I don't like the jewel looking embers. Of course I understand those are your favorites, im just stating my opinion.
Nice video! Thanks mate! Made me reconsider removing my gas/wood fireplace. Electric sounds wonderful and more hassle free, but to be honest, none of their flames look real. The ones that are more real cost like a used BMW. Nice concepts, but unless they bring their prices down and improve upon the flame technology I just don't see the appeal.
why is the room dark? only way the electric will light up.. During day won't even see it. might as well turn the tv and using the you tube fireplace.. lol.. more real and crisp.. lol...
Just curious.....how close to a tv can a built in electric fireplace be installed in a wall? The reason I ask is because what I mostly see is the TV mounted high on a wall. This is out of the question for me as I like my tv mounted lower on the wall ,at eye level when sitting. Thanks 😊
I dont care for the flat ones .I love the old school ones with the mantle. My boy and his wife has the flat ones in the bed room but the mantle one in the family room.Give me my old mantle with electric features. And I dont want no rainbow colors.Just regular fire.
15:40 looks the best. You really have two market segments: People that want Realistic Electric Fireplace that looks like a Fireplace. and People that want an Electric Fireplace to look like a cool electronic electric fireplace... (with the colorful LEDs...) :-)
I've been thinking about placing a contemporary landscape LED fireplace below the TV. Can this be done? With the Dimplex Ignite XL , How much distance is required between the TV and Fireplace with the heater? Can I install into a built-in wall unit?
I don’t like any of these. I want a traditional fireplace with a mantel. It’s a free standing fireplace. I don’t have one because the height is really low that they look phony. I want one that is at least 55 inches from the floor to the top of the mantel and I’ve never found one.
As kool as your #1 is and I got to admit it is a really awesome electric fire place for sure. I love the #3 spot. The #3 electric fireplace has to be my personal favorite and it’s the most realistic one from all the others. The one problem I do have is the water vapor. Usually machines with water vapor end up leaving mold behind. Does it have like a filter for the vapor or is it like gotta clean and wipe down after every use??
So we're in colorado and its really dry here. We never have any mold on this unit or anything like that. They actually just made a brand new Dimplex Opti-myst that changes colors. We havea video on it if you want to check it out 😁
@@embersliving well that dryness helps a lot for the moisture which is pretty good. But for a place like Texas it might be a little different which is why I was asking. But I will for sure check it out. Thanks
I just noticed that the Ignite XL Bold was added to the Dimplex website today (January 27, 2022) and listed as coming soon. Is this still November or has the timeline been moved up?
Great video. I’m in FL and am looking to install an Electric Fireplace outside in the covered lanai. No direct exposure to rain. Which of the brands/models are Outdoor rated for the listed use that you would recommend and would not void the warranty? Humidity is what I’m seeing as potential issue. Thank you!!!
Very informative, thanks! I’m leaning toward the Dimplex Opti-mist for the more realistic look. Is it possible to put fire balls in this unit instead of logs? Also, when are new models typically released? Are you aware of any upgrades to this unit coming? Thanks!
Thanks for the update on the Ignite Bold. Don’t think I am going to wait a year. Looks like I have a decision to make. I don’t like the glare on the current Ignite. Also, I am not wild about its flame pattern. Out of your five, Linnea by European Homes is my favorite. Love it, especially the logs and flame pattern as it is the most realistic looking fire in your top 5. Its pricey but I think it might(?) be worth it. Also I am not sure about its width that is exactly the same width as the old brick traditional fireplace (hearth on the floor and gas line are all that remains) which was dry walled over before I purchased my current home. Maybe 🤔 I should stay traditional and go with the Revillusion? It’s cheaper and I like its flame pattern the most. Does the Linnea have the 220 option? Though I’m mostly into fireplace aesthetics, I would like some heat.
I was gonna also pick that one for most realistic one. Until I saw the video a second time. And then I changed my mind and feel like the #3 was the most realistic looking fire place. Cuz of the way they made the wood 🪵 burning like how they get super red before turning into embers. That’s what caught my eye the most. Only thing I’m worried about is the water vapor. Even tho that’s what makes the fire look more real and awesome. I’m kinda concerned on mold from that water vapor. But again I gotta agree with you that European one looked the most clean and elegant out of all the others. So that was a good choice on your part man. Hope you got it and are enjoying the beauty 👍🏽
I watched the first 2 reviews but couldn’t watch more . How good is the heat? Does it actually put out heat or is it just more for show ? Tip: if you’re selling the product you might want to know how to pronounce it 🤦🏻🤦🏻😂😂
I am looking to do a build out with Dimplex 60 inch XL and I would like to do some sort of marble looking black exterior but I’m not sure what product I should put on the outside of the build out that would be safe enough that would not melt or cause a fire. I was thinking of getting some LVP and gluing it to the build out or doing some peel & stick tile. Do you have any recommendations of what we should use?
@@embersliving Maybe if I were rich... Anyways, my family just ordered a new 33-inch PuraFlame. I hope it works out okay. Dimplex is a bit too expensive but I hope the PuraFlame isn't a $450 flop.
This video just appeared in my feed. I have question, I have a 40” Furrion and not satisfied with the heat getting from it. Right now I’m not by it so don’t have model # or any other information. What electric heater gives the Highest BTU output?
What do you suggest for a long 60 inch peninsula open 3 sided waterplace in Florida (where are building from scratch) where I don't care about the heat or changing colors. I just want the most realistic flames. We will use it in the great room in a wall between the wall of the great room and the dining room where you can see it from both sides of the rooms as well as the end of the wall. From looking at the videos, it seems that I think the flame of the Dimplex brand because it is the higher and more realistic than the NetZero. However, does the Dimplex make something for a 60 inch peninsula - what about the new Dimplex Ignite XL Bold - I don't see that it will come in a peninusla version. I do see one for the NetZero. Appreciate your thoughts :)
You indicate that the Linnea model comes in a 40” but I don’t see that as an option when I go to European Homes we site. Can you elaborate or steer me toward the 40” model you referenced. Thanks
2nd place was garbage. The only one for me is the mist . If you want a real looking fire it's thr only one. I dont really like the different coloured ones though. I like the realness
Looking for an electric fireplace to use on a screen porch. It will actually have vinyl glazed windows (stretchable plastic) Panels that slide up or down. When open you have the screen porch effect. Want to enclose to create the look of a real fireplace with stone surround wall.
The no2 its just the same effect in 4 sections made into one. Cant believe it's so expensive. It doesn't look good at all you'd get a better led effect lot cheaper.
Yes, real is very nice. But some folks, like myself, live in Condos/apartments where open flames are not allowed. But we still want to enjoy the ambience a fireplace offers.
I dont get it . When I look at $100 dollar Infrared heaters that are way smaller they have just as much BTU and wattage as the two thosand dollar fire places. What gives? Are these just for the looks. It seems gas is the way to go
Hi Trevour, good video, but if you want a true new No1 product the Brish Charlton and Jenrick i series has taken the UK market by stoirm and is now coming to the USA - check it out you will love it, great logs, great underbed and great smooth relaxing flames!
