High flow catted DP from whoosh with an adapter to the stock exhaust with a muffler delete which sounds surprisingly good, lol. Saving up for an MAP or thermal, haven't decided yet.
There's no way your catback adds 20 HP lol. An intercooler + tune basically maxes the stock turbo, so the stock 2.5" catback isn't the restrictor. How does your catback magically make 20 horse power appear?
For UK roads, the Fiesta is literally the best car I've had in terms of fun. It's not quick in a straight line but it handles beautifully, way better than the focus, the focus is horrible in comparison, and the new ones have this weird traction control that ruins everything and I turns itself back on every time you start the car, I cba for it. I miss my Fiesta genuinely, I might actually get an older one and try and retro fit it and make it quick
Just picked up my MAP CBE from your factory today, can't wait to install it on my '18 this weekend! It should make for a great package along with your intake which I installed a few years ago and have really enjoyed. Thanks to Nathan, Carlos, and the others at MAP I've worked with, fantastic customer experience.
@@randymerlo4070 I think it's the perfect mix of performance and daily drivability. It gets a little boomy inside under load with the windows up, but absolutely no annoying drone etc. at any cruising speed. To me its the type of exhaust that should have been offered on an ST. You can find a few videos of mine on my channel.
@@randymerlo4070 Fantastic, I hope you enjoy it! I watched a ton of videos from different manufacturers before going with MAP. The low tone sounds great to me, certainly not that cheap "fart can" sound.
I have the CPE catback exhaust. Zero issues with it. Sounds fantastic. While I hear it at highway speeds, it doesn't give me the ear hurting drone I've experienced with other catback exhausts on different cars.
@@Jowi182 the cpe catback is full 3 inch. It has a round resonator where the original resonator was just after the downpipe and at the end of it near the tailpipe there's also a helmholtz resonator. It flows awesome, looks great, sounds great but doesn't drone even with a 3 inch catless downpipe I been running it for 3-4 years. Very good quality.
The MBRP is AWFUL. Came on my car when purchased, can't wait to get rid of it. Sounds great outside of the car, but inside it's all bass, and it drones heavily at the RPM ranges you'll be in most (during highway cruising and right at the shift point for normal in-town driving).
I have the mbrp but its not loud at all super quiet and specifically not ricey or fart canish. But that maybe due to the peron high flow sport cat and tubular exhaust manifold.
For owners watching this video, if you want the best SOUNDING exhaust, its the Flowmaster American Thunder. I spent a couple weeks going back and forth through videos like this until I decided it sounded the best, and in person I can confirm it sounds amazing. BUT, it is 409 stainless, not 304, so it WILL see corrosion if driven in winter. the tips are also meh looking, and it is loud enough to annoy your neighbors on cold start. But if you dont care about all that, it sounds ridiculously good, especially with an aftermarket downpipe.
I've had, in order, not counting muffler deletes: fswerks, CPE, ford Racing, milltek, greddy, and finally, thermal R&D. Wife now has my old Greddy on her 2016 fiesta st
would have liked the kms hurricane in the comparison, i think from most videos i heard it in it sounds pretty good, but no clue if it's just way to loud
Bought the MBRP system for my last fiesta after the straight piped Stock exhaust rusted in half, enjoyed it for the first two weeks then the Drone started growing in me, about 6 months later traded in that fiesta for another with the same exhaust and it was getting unbearable. Sounds great at higher revs and is loud af, but with how much highway driving I do it was ungodly for my daily commute, ended up getting the Mountune 2.5" Resonated cat back and am loving it, the quieter but deeper tone definitely improved the ride quality and sound of the car in my opinion
@Niq ger Lel Very specifically, it droned at part throttle at highway/motorway speed. Cruising flat or downhill it was perfectly fine, but when I started going uphill more than a few% grade the drone would swell up and overtake my cabin. The Thermal absolutely sorted it, it's a great exhaust.
@@payko5262 I have the cpe with a catless downpipe and it is Def noticeable it doesn't really drone even at highway speeds. I love the cpe...thermal is also good it's quieter for sure I was between those 2 glad I went with cpe thermal would have been too quiet for my liking.
On stock turbo I'd say yes but with an upgraded turbo either big turbo or a hybrid a higher flowing exhaust is Def a good thing to have. I was fbo x37 on e30 I had a 3 inch catless downpipe and stock catback with resonator delete I switched it out for a full 3 inch cpe so now it's full 3 inch. It feels like it added power up top but most noticeable is the quicker spool in lower revs. Car feels more eager to get going it was pretty noticeable it isn't always just about peak power. I agree 37 hp from a catback is just stupid and not gonna happen but I wouldn't say they aren't worth getting especially with an upgraded turbo.
The Thermal sounds great but the Cobb seems to be the least rowdy of the lot and thats what I'm shooting for. If I want my ears to start bleeding after 10 miles I'll take my Magna out for a ride. The 2019 I just picked up has full Cobb bolt ons but OEM exhaust. That needs to change ASAP.
@@randymerlo4070 Might be late but the Cobb is not loud at all. I can pull out of the driveway late at night or early in the morning and it doesn't bother anybody but still sounds great when you give it some beans on the highway
I have a 14 ST with the MBPR and love it, it sounds awesome, I had it put on at 20,000 miles and the car has 98,000 now, I’ve had problems with it what so ever, I get a lot of complements on it. The Fiesta Flash 🤙🏼🍺🍺
idk why but to me the catback systems seem too quiet for me. i have a resonator and muffler delet on my 2018 fiesta st and to me its one of the best sounding exhaust setups. of course i want an exhaust to add more power but i like a loud one as well. does anyone know a system that would fit this category?
I liked that exhaust I thought about going with it but I went with a 3 inch cpe w my 3 inch whoosh catless downpipe. No regrets but the 2jr is awesome.
