You are good, but you shouldn't recommend shorting the fuse. That is a potential fire hazard, should anything go wrong. In places where there are load shedding and other power grid changes, the device could run over it's ratted current specifications and overheat, possibly causing a fire if there are flammable materials near the device. It's a good video however. Next time, consider talking and explaining using your voice to emphasize and clarify your troubleshooting, fault checking, meter usage and soldering to replace the parts...
Very good video. Personally the music is overpowering, so to watch I turned sound off. Many videos are way more enjoyable without music, this includes professional movies. The one I am waiting for part to repair, the fuse is rated higher than the mains trip, (20A fuse, 20A IGBT, 16A mains trip) so the mains turned off, also the unit was not in use but connected to mains. So in some units if the IGBT goes short, either the fuse blows or the mains trips. Added you to my fixit section and a thumbs up.
Seriously clicked on this video to fix my induction cooker... but after 30 seconds of listening I decided to drop some molly and dance to this song all night long!
Another possible problem with these cookers could be the thermistor, and this could be for checking the temperature of the cookware by checking the temperature of the base of the cookware, using a thermistor under the surface or perhaps the glass could have an embedded thermistor, which would mean that the repair would involve replacing the glass with a manufacturer part
Thanks for the rip sirji. Me ek refrigeration technician hu bus induction ka kam aap jse achee log you tube dalte ho to apse hi thoda thoda sikh raha hu sirji
Looks like, overall though if you're in the field like me, it would be simply replacing the board since we're not allowed to do weldments in operating commercial kitchens. But at least now I know HOW to fix it with a soldering kit.
nice I had some plastic between coil spacing melt, wondering if contact between coil points will cause a short.. the heater is flashing on and off, and prior to me moving the coil that seemed to melt together a bit was not powering on at all.
while it works, bypassing the blown fuse might not be the best way to fix it. it is better to replace the fuse. anyway, great video. I've fixed some induction cooker previously too.
@Creative World, Thanks for your video. when i use my induction cooker it will cause the voltage in the house to start fluctuating. could you please advuce what could be cause/problem?
I agree that the 4th repair tip is not a good practice. The reason we have a fuse is for safety - to prevent electrical fault that may cause fire. Always replace the fuse with the correct specification. Lack of info as when certain electronic parts became shorted, automatically the fuse should blew up or get busted (busted fuse).
Sir - thank you for video. I have 3700W 11" Induction coil, it seems to output very low - boils water same speed as 1850W burner. Could problem be with coil - coil still heats pan - or the generator board? It is interesting power is almost half - could somehow one item be damaged on generator ? Thank you
sir great work I love that sir in my induction it show E4 what is the fault sir plz reply sir it is prestige induction sir it has two heat sensors sir I am waiting for your reply
my induvtion no display i change rectifier and igbt but ok again i assemble ok running only 2 seconds automatic off no heating but has power;;what do to fix thank you very MORE POWER TO YOU GOD bless
It wd have been better if steps were shown to guess/detect the faults - i.e what are the symptoms to conclude that the transistor or the rectifier or any thing else is defective.
@@CreativeWorldPro same problem but the fuse goes off only when the coil is connected to the heater ...when I removed the coil and put the fuse it was working fine...when I again put the coil fuse blows off...and resistance of the coil is showing just 5-6ohms only ...what should be the reason
Thank you. I would have loved to do this work. But in school, girls were not taught basic life skills and how to fix and make a living. We learned how to make , vanilla pudding, cinnamon toast. Sewing a skirt- which I got a D in which is almost fail. The reason why, my engineering brain said the full skirt mafe me look like an umbrella, so I took the skirt apart the night before, and learned pleating with mathematics for a circle, and then stitched from waistband down exactly 7 inches. Omg it so beautiful and perfectly sewed. That was in 1965. I recently graduated from Academy of Art University, - via computer classes with physical tests and items sewn and mailed in. I graduated Summa Cum Laude. Hahaha! In 1965 I also took the Air Force tests to see what you excell in for your life work. I wanted to be a farmer and have horses, and tried to answer every question that way. HAHA. It came back I was in the Top 10% of the U.S. in Engineering brain skills. After school the Air Force really wanted me, but my parents told me no. They were very constrictive parents. Working at a plant nursery was very good, in their idea, or being a secretary,so I did that. I also had a horse from whem I was 11 years old and never been without one, and I worked as a jockey at Belmont Raceway, but of course my parents would not let me go with my stables to Florida for the winter. I still use my engineering skills to troubleshoot in my mind and find solutions. I think my life was a wasted one, I could have done everything . But, I was a “good daughter” and listened to chauvinistic parents and misogynist father. I would do it all over again if I could. And all these deep thoughts arose from watching a induction cooker being fixed. Thank you so much for not throwing these things out that can be made better than new once again.
thank you for the video, my cooker gives a fan noise for 1 second as soon as I plug it then immediately stops and no light and dead.. What do you think the problem is about?
In step 4 did you leave the bridge on the fuse line? Wouldn't we have to identify and correct the reason for the blown fuse and replace it with another of the same current? Thanks. I already liked and subscribed to the channel.
nowadays some electronic component manufacturers use iron instead of copper for example in resistors, could the magnetic property in them make them heat up especially those near the copper coil induction element. using a neodymium magnet will tell you if its pure copper or iron used.
Thank you But i have different problem It is working for a second or more sometime for 4 minutes ...then return to standby ..or start on off by himself or time going crazy
The video really informative,My induction top as i switch on the mains it get tripped off ,I checked the power supply chord, it is not fused .What could be the problem ? and how to set right?
Hi, a great vídeo. Could you help me, my induction cooktop IS needing repair. All part funciona, but not heat sufficient. Do you know what kind problem?
It is not a very easy to check the power rating of induction cook top as it works on the principle of induction not on the joule heating, i can suggest an alternative method to chek the rating of a induction cook top. To check the power rating of the induction cook top. Let the rating is X, Now take 1 lit of water and record the initial temperature T1 degree Celcius, Now pour this water into a steel (or recommended ) flat base flask ,( base should be nearly equal to the specified area ), Keep this water for heating for 1 min (60 seconds in 100 percent mode) stir it and record the temperature T2 degree Celcius. Now you can use 70*(T2-T1) to find out the rating, this value should not be less then 75 percent of the rated value.
For fluids thin plates. The thinner the plate and the smaller the gap in between good heating.Similar in construction with car radiator.boil 1liter of water and then mix with 1liter cold water.
He has not yet finished the delivery of the induction plate to the safe use. It is necessary to overview what he is doing. He is only showing that the whole circuit is NOW WORKING, imho. Regards
Sirf music hi bajaoge ki kuchh bolke samjaoge ki kyaa kar rahe ho. Agar ham sab samajhte hai ,aisa mante ho to aapke video dekhane ki jarurat kyo hogi?
Sir, my induction gets on!! But doesn’t sense the cookpan!!! Instead produces sound in a regular interval... when paused the sound disappers!! Can you help ?
Induction cooker making a regular beeping while a pan is not placed on it while active isn't itself a problem but in most cases be part of its programming . The things I do in similar situations are ; 1) Resolder the ground jumper line . 2)Check the box capacitor 5 muF,(make Shure to remove them and check underneath it) 3)check the 8550 and 8050 transistors . 4)while plugged in series ,put multimeter in DC and while placing negative probe on Bridge Rectifier negative ,check the resistors to see if any of them are open .
