Such a contrast to this year's Geneva Show. I fondly remember attending motor shows in the 80s and 90s but these days I wouldn't bother going to one if it was next door!
2021 NEC Birmingham classic car show was packed out.... good show but pricey, £40 to get in, £16 parking" £12 covid-19 test booth" £8 burgers. £2.50 small bottles of pop.. heads up. Bags with your own food n drinks, was allowed 👌
Interesting that the 30 year old Jag E-type is still the most beautiful and aged the best out of all the cars seen her. That said I do still kind of like the design of the E36 BMW. Certainly more agreeable than any number of their more recent offering (just a shame about those ugly plastic bumpers). The little Mazda was cute but rather toy-like.
I worked all night to repair a rover 800 bonnet and front wing...some Muppet of a fire man fell on it the day before press day. Pulsar silver... happy day's!!
I think their intention was to simply focus on the bits of this episode that took place at the motor show, and not the separate road tests. Just a coincidence that both road tests this episode were filmed by Jeremy.
