I loved Top Gear back in its day 🤣 I can't speak for the rest of Europe, but in the UK car enthusiasts are known as a 'Petrolhead'

I'm pretty sure Clarkson and I would agree... You punch your colleague, you're out. But just for the record...top gear was the most watched television show in the world regardless of genre or region. That trio have got something very special.

The "Mexican comments" episode is where they got in enough trouble to actually acknowledge it and do something funny with it, like sending the Hamster to Mexico to test a car and for each of them to essentially explain their comments from that show. Gave them enough material to last a few episodes.

when those 3 presented it, it was the number one watched TV show in the entire world. (Apart from France... joke) When it was broadcasted live to all the countries around the world at the same time (Basically just season 22) it pulled in 350 million viewers! Then the whole Clarkson punching a producer fiasco happened and it got him fired. Top Gear is currently in its 31st season but with 3 different other people who try so hard to be like the original 3, it has its moments but its not the same.

this august a McLaren F1 sold at Pebble beach for $ 20.5 million. As Jay Leno has one of those as well, I assume that is the most expensive car in his collection.

There is a story knocking around of when Jeremy Clarkson, first met the stunningly beautiful Super Model Kate Moss at a party. Jeremy saw her chatting to one of his friends so he went over to introduce himself to her. So as the story goes, Jezza walks up to Kate Moss and says” Hi, I’m Jeremy and I do Top Gear”, on hearing this Kate goes a little quiet, looks around and quietly says “I don’t do drugs anymore, sorry”and walks away.

Dang if this was a try not to cringe, I failed spectacularly 😳 I was waiting to ogle classic cars in the clips most of the time anyways. My dream car is a 1968 Mustang fastback in Hyland Green colour…three guesses on why there! 🤘 Yes someone already mentioned it but the term you’re searching for is “petrol head”. Although if you’ve ever seen the Blues Brothers, motor head is another common one 👍

That show should be rerun, those were the days when snowflakes didn’t lose their minds over stupid things…
