I love how the funniest part of this was ironically Richard being dissapointed after his voice didn't change and the other two laughing even harder lmao
Shock Horror. This must be one of the few Top Gear episodes I've never seen. I've seen this clip in many "best of" compilations but never understood why Richard was disappointed as I'd never seen the explanation. Brilliantly funny.
@@Kyharra ...... I totally agree and I totally got it - watching this full clip for the first time - but the point I was making is that previously I've only ever seen a much shortened clip which just shows Hammond getting out of the car with no explanation of the trial he was doing. In isolation, I always wondered what it was all about. Now I know🙄
@@Kyharra it's okay, someday you'll get over your crippling fear of not being accepted ingrained in you by your parents and society around you when you were a child.
What they did there was actually quite dangerous Helium binds red blood cells in the same way oxygen does If you kept sitting in the car breathing normally you get drowsy and sleepy until you pass out (it feels like falling asleep) Within a few more minutes you'd be dead - assuming the helium keeps displacing most of the oxygen
