After months of painstaking work… I recreated the TOP GUN: MAVERICK trailer in Lego, one frame at a time. This was created 100% independently out of my love for Top Gun, cinema, and LEGO.

There’s a love & craft to this that transcends it being just a Lego homage. In a world of war and economic foreshadowing. @@KjetilBalstad bro. The dogfights or things you saw in the horner is real, for example tom cruise breathing due to G force you can’t fake that but its really hard to fake it. And in the original top gun it was real that he flew in the tomcat of proof of saying “Tom fell in love with aviation while making of Top Gun (1986)” in fact he did fall in love because it was real. And he wouldn’t had fell for it if it was CGI stuff.

I love the attention to detail from the air coming off the wing to the set being destroyed by the Darkstar. The movements on the characters, despite looking off, actually is pretty natural. Just look how Maverick's head moves in 2:03.

OMG!!!! My wife just had goose bumps watching that. I did, too. I mean that is JUST SPOT ON!!! My wife said, despite her not preferring to watch LEGO animated movies, me neither, we'd both would watch this in LEGO in it's full entirety film. Hell if this can be done in with this trailer, I bet, enough time and money, this can be duplicated in a full length feature and we'd go pay to watch it.

This is incredible! I love how seamlessly you integrated the CG and stop motion bits. These shots are insane from cinematography to animation, not to mention the sheer quantity of them. That was AWESOME! One, very small, note. The 1x1 round piece at the very tip of the F18 nose should have a little cross on it as that bit is specifically a Philips screw head.

I loved that motorcycle and jet movement, the way you moved the head when he was on the cycle specifically and the jet. This is just a work of art that is un-paralled. The way you recreated that trailer is, mind blowingly realistic. The whole thing was just...On the beat! -Jade
