It's important to know why his head dips. It's because that's the direction he's swinging! Your head will always move in the direction you're sending your force.
Yes, but starting the forward swing, this notion of plane vs spine angle goes out the window. I would now like to see John Daly in the same analysis. John, the best natural swing in history.
Not an expert and as a person who loves golf and golf swing, there are hypothetical criteria that make swing good. But not all pga pros follow this and they have different matchups. I draw this to show how differnet they are and to take a look at many different swings and find what works for myself. Along the way perhaps some could be helpful for others so that is why i am sharing these. Thank you!
From my latest lesson with my golf pro where we exactly covered that topic: as a pleb that i am (hcp 30) i need to figure out to not move my head to get the swing in the right plane. As a pro you add little extras to the swing to get more spin and distance. Rory is probably moving his shoulders down and forward to generate more power, but he can do it because he knows when he needs to be back at level at impact. Look at his left shoulder getting back to that level. Another example would be bryson. He does those steps in his swing for extra power. A normal person would probably never learn this as it will make you more instable
