Not a fan of Osotgari and have my opinions on it but this new generation has really brought it back to life by refining and weaponizing it.That Osoti was ridiculous.
@@JudoHighlights2015 for me personally, I don’t like the way it’s taught. That split second before the leg crosses behind to sweep you’re very vulnerable unless you get the timing and your own balance absolutely perfect. To answer your question specifically - with a lot of techniques you don’t have to execute so perfectly to score. There’s a small margin for slight errors. I’m my opinion you don’t have that luxury with Osoto.
@@vinceocratic I actually think it’s a very safe move. It’s one of the few throws you can commit and quit halfway through without being in too much danger. Unlike uchimata for example
Thanks to you, that you are making and bringing to us such a high quality content of an awesome sport. I made judo in my youth and teenage years and really like to watch a bit from time to time. Best regards!
Love your videos as always mate! Watched this with my mum and she was very impressed by your tomoe nage. (She is curious as to whether your accent is Kiwi?) Thank you so much for uploading, I really enjoyed it.
