its actually a mindful play, because he knew that he will cycle to the next rocket very fast, so he missed the collector, because hitting it will get opponent an instant elixir instead of waiting for it, so opponent couldn't use is on offence straight away. and also collector was about to give an elixir so if he hitted it opponent would have +2 instantly.
