We are glad too!! Sometimes even a rainy day exploring a new place can be great fun! We never know what we are going to see or experience until we just go!
I love that you guys actually fish! I don’t think I have ever seen any RV RU-vidrs fishing. My husband and I fish every time we are near water. Our grandchildren fish with us when we take them camping. That’s a beautiful park! Oh and we experienced cicadas for the very first time a few months ago…..noisy creatures! Drove me crazy but we enjoyed our trip nonetheless. Ty for sharing. ❤
We both love to fish and have some great collapsible poles that we can just put in our backpacks when we hike just in case 🙂 We will definitely go back to Joe Wheeler when we get the chance! Michael and Becky
The tornados did a huge amount of damage to the park. I really hope the state will continue to rebuild the park. My wife's family would have a family reunion every year there. Glad you enjoyed the park. It is a great POTA also. If you drive east cross the Elk River on the left is another POTA park Elk River Lodge. David K4AYK
Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to visit before the tornadoes. I'm sure it's heartbreaking for those that saw it before. For those of us who have visited afterwards, the renovations sure are nice! Thank you for watching and we hope to catch you on the air!
