I’m from the middle of the U.S. and have traveled to London four times on my own, spent about 10 weeks there all together. Your video is great and provides good info! I agree, starting with a boat trip on the Thames down to Greenwich provides lovely views of the city and it’s inexpensive. I also loved Westminster Cathedral, the Victoria and Albert Museum, both St. James and Hyde Parks, and the food hall at Harrod’s (get food for a picnic in Hyde Park!). Take the walk along the South side of the Thames down to Borough Market, foodie heaven. I’m not a fan of the Tate Modern but the older Tate Museum is amazing (I’m an art historian). Also I suggest you check out London Walks for 2-hour, informative casual walking tours throughout the city. I agree with you too about the Tube - try to avoid it if you can, walk or take taxis so you can stay above ground and SEE this beautiful city! Nearing the end of your video, I must say that you chose excellent sites to highlight, including the Tower - although it’s expensive, I think it’s well worth the admission fee. Bravo! Excellent video!! Subscribed!

Hello Alisa, thank you for your extra ideas for our followers. I think we only dipped our toes into the many wonderful places to visit. In fact, we were in London this weekend and visited Westminster Abbey for the first time ever. WOW, what a place. Sadly, they do not allow videos in the church, which is fair enough, so no video is coming soon on that! Thank you for subscribing.

@@MemorySeekers I’m so jealous/happy you were just there! Wow! I understand London is reopening but I hope people are being safe as possible. The history inside Westminster makes it so special! I have studied a lot of English history, but a lifetime of reading and visiting there would not be enough!!

Another great effort. British tourism should be paying you guys. This is polished material. You deserve a much bigger viewership. As a Cambridge grad id love to see your take on it and don't forget to punt to Granchester and luxuriate in the meadow. May ball and bumps. Life in college from Hall to garden parties oh and study. You should also consider river side pubs of London. Greenwich. HMS Victory. A tour of Saville row and Jermyn St for the male fashionistaz. It would be good to see you have a meal at a gastro pub to show ppl how far British food has come. Sandhurst and or Dartmouth for a parade. Pimms. A weekend at a country house. Do ppl and experiences in addition to buildings. RAF Duxford. Canal boats. Yachting Cowes. Blenheim. No 1 london. Top 5 hotels. Tube etiquette. Royal Yacht Britannia. Cabinet war rooms. Imperial war museum. Kew gardens. Kensington palace. Lots of ppl would like a Beatles related tour. London quiet corners and squares. Property prices and related culture. Top 5 blue plaque homes. I could go on and on. Last night of the proms or culture of those sorts of events. Ppl can see a few last nights elsewhere. But the concept behind it is great. Can you tell i miss blighty? *sigh*

Well that is one hell of list but does give some good ideas for future videos for sure! Much more to do on London when we have the time. Still have to earn a crust in between all the travel! You miss blighty, so where are you now?

@@MemorySeekers Aside from my friends (who would also make great interview subjects), it was all the things I miss just off the top of my head. Its not a list of key deliverables I need on my desk by Monday! Easy chaps! :) I am oldtowndude from old town Alexandria VA, where as the name would imply, it is so ancient it is scores of hundred of years younger than England. :)) Keep up the good work or as Churchill would say, KBO!

I want to fly to London now. The Millennium Bridge was so beautiful and we had a nice cup of coffee at the Tate Modern looking down the river in 2015. I also like the Borough Market. Your video is so nice and I am able to learn lots of English words and phrases as well.

I like the canon as its very light and if you get the bundle offer with 2 lenses you get a great starter kit. Batteries only last about 1hr 30 so you do need extras of those but they are only £16 each online. Bundle is about £599 when i last looked and we started with the rode videomicro at £45 for the camera. You defo need external mic for it. Hope that helps ☺️

Awesome, incredibly beautiful buildings, and interesting places .Thanks for the film. Could Memory Seekers travel to Beverley in Yorkshire and film St. Mary’s Church before they remove the ancient carvings and replace them with feminist women. I would love to see it.

What a lovely Church, we only do this part time in between fulltime work, and we don't leave near at all, but I have pinned it on the map so if we find our travels in that area we would go in and film. Looks lovely!
