I'm going to be real. The fact that she says that she was found in an airport and they specifically mentioned her being a plus size model in my mind solidifies that they specifically wanted a plus size model to win, and that she was essentially pre selected.

I love that Oliver doesn't push the ANTM girls to speak about items/moments they don't want to talk about. Another great interview!

In all honesty I find it refreshing that she was open about not liking Dominique still. I hate it when people just glaze over it or sugar coat things. We’re not all going to get along and that’s fine.

I think I understand Whitney. She is the type of person who know the games, stay with it and not rebel against it like some others. Her head was in the games, and she stuck with it. Plus, she’s smart and articulated, and sometimes she said what she normally says it to herself so sometimes it comes cold. Yeah, she’s not typical personality girl like we’re used to with these contestants. But this interview just gave me the more understanding of her true character. Thank you, Oliver!

I love that she didn’t try to sugar coat anything. Respect. I think she’s misunderstood.

I still feel like Anya was THE one to beat that cycle, with Fatima and Katarzyna close behind, but I actually believe Whitney when she thinks she deserved her win. While she clearly wasn't the best model, she she wasn't the worst either. I have always felt that the producers downplayed her potential in the show in their hopes of "setting up" her eventual win to be a come-from-behind victory that backfired because they overdid it. She really just comes across as honest, for better or worse. She still has a better attitude and more mature outlook post-show than other winners and we respect that.

Again we need a Dominique interview damn it.

At first I expected her to come across more humble, but she’s definitely even more confident than she was on the show.

I find it funny that she said that one contestant didn't look like she would ever be on the cover of Vogue, that she looked like an actor or a singer. I was thinking, actors get the cover of Vogue these days more than models.

I’m gonna be honest. I think Whitney was a preselected winner because she’s plus size. Which.. I’m kinda ok with now considering everything that the girls have revealed through these interviews. What bothers me is the edit she had. Come on, nobody in the f* world thought she was gonna win because of her edit. On the other hand, Anya was portrayed to be the most lovable human on Earth. Of course fans were pissed. At least I was.. and I believe that Whitney got a lot of hate because of that shitty edit. What were the producers thinking, honestly? How were fans gonna honor that win? I think we now realize very little in this show is unintentional. I kinda wonder if they purposefully picked not that great shots of Whitney so that when she won, it would spark a "she only won because they wanted a curvy winner" controversy. Got ppl talking for sure.

Her personality is just not authentic or likeable. No, i don’t think Whitney should receive violence or massive hate comments. But in this interview she literally mocks Dominque for her looks and is tone deaf about her drugs comment with Kimberly yet she complains about hate. If a massive part of the audience did NOT resonate with a produced winner, it is because we are not blind to her disingenuous nature or we simply don’t resonate with it.

Compared to the compassion I feel from Oliver = Whitney's comment about Kimberly was cruel and insensitve AF ! = Anyone who committs suicide is in so much pain , feels so hopeless that life itself isnt worth living ,deserves compassion . Kimberly's boyfriend had committed suicide before she came on the show and she was also dealing with some heavy stuff from her childhood . Whitney was just straight up cruel. Anything she said after that I side eyed . No Respect

Whitney was not my favourite lady from that season. My heart belongs to Anya, Kat, and Fatima. But she played the game well and I hope she’s thriving and learning and all that. I assume she’s somewhat a victim of a selective edit AND of being very bitchy in her interviews. Which honestly was kind of a problem with that entire cycle. Anyway excited to hear from her and see how she’s doing and what she’s learned since her win. I hope people weren’t mean to her. But let’s be real. They were. God that entire cycle was so damn strong. I’m thinking of all those ladies. And my god it was a strong ass cycle.

I was surprised when Whitney won cycle 10 as I thought Anya was going to win. She took the win, ran with it and go on to make a career for herself.

The way she addressed the Kimberly situation sure left me feeling uncomfortable. To call other girls beautiful, nice, fun girl who made light of so many situations etc....to then go on and just say "Drugs" regarding someone who lost their life. That's nobody's business but her family and friends who would probably rather have her be remembered for more positive things.

Glad to hear from her for sure! It's always good to hear their side of things. I will say though... especially from what other contestants have said...preselection was a thing. I don't have any doubts about that.

She has such a weird energy. I used to find the rigging accusations unfair (despite her weak portfolio), but now, I'm inclined to believe she was pre-selected to win. Also, I invite everyone to look up Dominique's show portfolio online, her pictures are some of the strongest in the cycle, Whitney (who couldn't take a picture with her mouth closed to save her life) needs to check her eyesight.

Dominique's portfolio on All Stars was sickening so I don't agree with Whitney that Dominique wasn't a model.

Whitney was definitely a favorite of mine on her cycle! Although I adored little Bierka Anya as well, another edge I feel Whitney had back then and still does now is such a crisp speaking voice! Also from everything I had heard Anya went on to great success afterwards anyhow! They did seem to limit any of the personal feelings from Whitney until the finale! Then there was just that one bit about her struggles with image. Lastly, one moment you miss if you didn't happen to notice was during the challenge in Italy where the girls are being styled as chic Italian women where they did a wide shot of everyone and the stance Whitney had in her ensemble was amazing! Even if Anya won that challenge Whitney really stood out!!

I rewatched the "Barbiegate" scene over and over and you can hear Whitney say "It's not offensive." So I don't know if she's being entirely honest there and is probably grateful they didn't caption what she said. I don't know. Whitney is clearly very confident in herself and comfortable with herself, but it comes across as a bit telling that her first reaction when asked about Dominique is "ugh, she is NASTY" and with Allison it's like "Oh, I LOVED her... except for the racist thing." (Plus, if Dominique's "ex-baby-daddy" as Whitney so lovingly put it was the man who abused her, I'd say she'd be best to stay out of her reaction to him being shot). Also as many have said, her comment about Kimberly was so condescending and inappropriate. Not "Oh that was so sad" or "tragic" or anything just "drugs." Holy cow. Oliver, these were some great questions and you seemed to have a good time and pace it well. Good job on not always getting the most popular girls!

from Claire's interview I become hate Whitney more and more but by hearing this interview I can understand how she struggled, stand up for herself, and adapat really well to continue long on the show. she spoke honestly about how she felt and faced during her time on the show. maybe that's what happens when someone from the "minor group" find the way to survive.

Going back rewatching this and this interview definitely had one of my favorite moments. In reference to Dominique… “She could’ve been a singer, an actor…” That statement and Oliver’s immediate laugh just SENT me all the way!! 🤣🤣🤣

One thing I like about Whitney is she stands true to what she says. She keeps it real, you gotta appreciate that

Although I don't think she was a preselected. They definitely gave her a pretty obvious preference, and kept her around despite her poor performance. She should've made it into the top 6 maybe, but no further. She was kept over other really good contestants that performed better than her. And at the end she was given the title just for the sake of being "a plus size model". That's why it looked so fake and everyone was mad. But I also understand that the hate she got was unjustified, since the one doing the decision was Tyrs, not Whitney.

It appears like some seasons were more edited than others. Cycle 10 & 11 girls have said everything was cut and paste but Cycle 14 for example girls have said it was pretty accurate. Interesting!! Love that Whit kept her blonde 😍
