Anyone else feel like some of these rankings are just.....weird? Like according to the voters a shark fin is way scarier than multiple realistic animatronics.
Not necessarily. Sometimes the less I see frightens me more because the things my imagination can conjure are far worse than anything that could be based in reality. That's how I voted, anyway. It's all about perspective and what hits a certain person's fear button.
Honestly, seeing Daisy being ranked so low on the list feels absolutely dumb. How is a fin swimming in a small circle, scarier than a life-sized, heavily realistic, animatronic shark??? Daisy should've been ranked on up imo. That is more terrifying to see in the water than some fin.
IDC if it's goofy looking or realistic, if it's underwater and if it's a shark, Imma cry and possibly drown from dying from fright. Like these all scared me.
The Sydney aquarium shark really scares me for some reason. The scars on its face, the eye movement, the lighting and screens showing shark videos.... Scary man
Everyone is allowed to be afraid of something. Did it make you feel big and bad to rag on someone on the internet? Did it make you feel better about your own sad life and your own fears?
In my opinion, Daisy the Shark should be in the top tier. That is one fluid smooth moving animatronic shark that's closely on par with Bruce from Jaws.
This ranked list is wild. I have so many questions. How did the jaws ride shark get placed over the actual jaws shark??? Why was the scariest sharks at the bottom of the list? If they aren't animatronic in water, why does it get on the list? Great video, just think the rankings were silly
I didnt realize a fear of sharks in a pool was a thing until now. When i was a kid (and even still now at 26) I had this fear of the shark from the jaws ride being in my pool because it was an animatronic and didnt need sea water like I was always afraid the wall of the pool would open up and it would jump out at me or the floor of the pool UGH the thought even now gives me the creeps I still wont swim in a pool alone.
I love the variety here! Covering all sorts of angles from the legendary Jaws, to the frighting Rosie, to Mythbusters and to other various sharks! They are all amazing awesome feats of engineering, creativity, inspiration and nightmare fuel!🤩🦈
How the hell did Sharkzilla get a higher rank than ROBOSHARK!?! I remember watching them build it during the episode and I was scared and fascinated by it. I genuinely don’t think people understood the task here.
It's make me so happy to see the Shark from the Downtown Aquarium make an appearance in your submechanaphobia videos. This shark scared me as a kid, and is probably the reason why I have a slight fear of sharks.
As someone who grew up in Florida, I have memories of the jaws ride as a small child. That ride used to scare me so badly 😂 I also vaguely remember the flames from the barrels and whatever else was on fire being so hot even though they were at a safe distance :)
Yeees! The first time I went on Jaws the Ride, I cried when the shark got really close to the shit. Granted, I was like... six, but I still have a pretty decent fear of sharks. LOL
As someone who is trying to get over submechanophobia, I find the less realistic ones scarier because you can tell its an animatronic. I don't know why that makes it scarier for me, but it does.
Funny thing, I actually got to see the real Robo shark the discovery science center is actually hosting a myth busters exhibit and they had the Robo shark on display I got to touch it actually was really cool
Time to face my fears....already feeling uncomfortable lol Turns out that the ones in the shut down ride in the top tier, made me more freaked out than the others... I've had shark phobia for a few years...I've had nightmares of them before :C
Alright Liz and Sauco (and Will), I think to celebrate the next milestone on this channel you all should organize a meetup where we all group dive to firsthand see and feel the abandoned shark in Switzerland. Whoever is able to touch/find/pose with the dragon gets bragging points and the title of King/Queen Duck and their dinner/drinks paid for. C'MON GUYS. I can't be the only one addicted to being otherworldly terrified! 😂 Because this totally doesn't sound like a premise for a horror movie or anything now that I'm typing it out....😬
I love Bruce the shark animatronic from Jaws. He was named after Steven Spielberg’s lawyer, Bruce Raiman. (That’s also how the shark in Finding Nemo got his name)
Daisy gives off such uncanny valley feelings for me, it actually made me shudder. The realistic movements in the water while knowing it’s fake just has my skin CRAWLING. And geez the animatronics used for Deep Blue are the worst for me… half-submerged, massive and realistic…
Fun fact my dad told me that jaws is the reason most people are afraid of sharks also I'm glad Rosey was found by the right people as I can imagine her soul finally going to heaven
the shark head with the machine body showing in the clear water would only be creepy at night. personally seeing the machinery totally takes away from the fear factor
As a citizen of canton Neuchâtel, I must admit I've only learned about the monster shark statue fairly recently. I am glad it's featured here, another reason to like my region. But please remember it's not pronounced NuKatel, the ch is soft like in "shore" and the name means "new castle".
Being forced onto the Jaws ride as a kid is the reason I am STILL TERRIFIED of dark water... I'm 36. I even knew it wasnt real... it was still horrifying.
4:08 dang, I didn’t expect the place I’ve been when I was a little kid being included to this list (And probably the thing that has triggered my thalassophobia)
I like how if I was swimming and saw any of them even if I know their animatronics I’ll literally get a heart attack even fish scare me to death in the ocean
To say im disappointed is an understatement. I may not be that old but when I first saw the movie Jaws, that was a pivotal point in my life that actually got me into animatronics and sharks. sure the other movies in the Jaws films were like below what the original was, but I feel like they should be voted on as singular entities and not as a whole franchise. Bruce the shark the original animatronics deserve their recognition and I just feel like this vote wasn't fair to that
Lake nuchatel is #1 for me but good video. I want more games and movies to take advantage of that cause it's horrifying, subnautica kinda does but not the full extent. like the lake does, it's the faint shape in the distance that makes me panic like in deep blue sea or soma. The shark just straight up looks creepy same for the dragon down there to. I'd see the faintest figure and dip XD
Some of the rides in Phantasialand are still scary XD there’s a ghost train, that has some pretty unnerving things in it. A little uncanny valley for me.
honestly next time shows us better pictures the ones on the lower parts of the list wouldve been higher if we couldve seen more of it or like got a link to a video of it
Why is this called underwater animatronics when they literally say several times that entries on the list aren't underwater or animatronics and there's even just a wholeass actual dead shark
The hilton hotel pool shark is creepy lol but i almost got married at that very hotel in San B as mentioned in the video. Id be so thrilled to have that happen during the reception lol if only
