NYC metro subways are 115 years old. What do you expect. If you want modern stations you can go to Washington DC or Los Angeles. Those subways aren't that dirty. They are dirty for an American who lives in super clean environment. For an indian it would be a paradise. There subways don't smell like indian streets.

Whereas NYC subways have never been maintained properly for 115 years. It's marvelous architecture. It has lived so long. If you type "Dirty London Subway" you will also find horrifying videos come up!! If you type in the word "Dirty" in the search engine, the search engine will show you horrific pictures.
