Cette vidéo traite de TOP OF THE LAKE TRAILER BA non officielle réalisée pour la projection en salle de l'intégrale de la première saison dans 3 cinémas de la Seine-Saint-Denis en juin 2014
Season 1 could’ve been great, if it had been condensed down to 4 or 5 episodes…it would’ve been a tighter, more intense show…instead it had SO many unnecessary filler scenes that completely dragged it down. …and Holly Hunter is so very wasted here. It’s like they wrote that whole part of the show (the kooky, broken women) as an add-on. I’m not even enticed to see season 2, honestly.
@@cakerbaker9965 This is the case with so many shows. It's like they give the creators an order for a specific number of episodes and they are forbidden from producing anything less. It always ruins them.
jeromediaz1, then listen to Nick Cave, whose murder ballads inspired much music like this: Little Water Song, sung by Ute Lemper ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oGqU0DhVO9Y.html
If you're finding a comment that says if the series was good this is it. The series was great. It was slow burn and need patience to watch it. The ending was so shocking and for me, it does not complete the experience of watching it. I needed something more and the show does not gave it to me! Im planning to watch the season 2 but reading at yt comments section, im doubting if i should do it or not. Overall, good series (watch it in the first place for elisabeth moss!!!!! The handmaids tale season 4 2021 is fucking killing me TT)
The song is Ipswitch, by Georgi Kay. I couldn't find a RU-vid version with the raw electric guitar, but here's the song: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mjijJxk-MbE.html
Ipswich by Georgi Kay Drag me down to the water And hold me down until im full Until I struggle no longer Until i've drowned in my sinful will Bound my hands to the stake And set fire to the ground below Watch my skin bubble and burn Beneath the rising smoke And you may kill me now And you may hurt me so But i will haunt you til the end is nigh And you may hunt me down And you may turn me cold But i will haunt you til the day you die The day you die The day you die The day you die The day you die
What year is this supposed to be? On the count of the oldschool phones? And what season is it? First they say its cold as hell, the next scene they’re having sex outside and swimming in the lake...
This is a fascinating television series; nonetheless because the detectives at work are not one-dimensional characters like in American detective series and movies. They all have very visible flaws; the scene of Robin having sex in a bathroom, for instance, would be unthinkable here in America. Also, for those of us who dislike radical feminism, it has a moderate version of it that is very nice: women are no longer to be treated like garbage. The character of Matt Micham is fascinating for those of us academically trained in mental health: he is an obvious psychopath; but he also have a very weak sense of self, a morbid mother complex that did not cease with the death of his mother, and a terrible misogyny; plus substance-related impotence. One hates Matt instantly and wants him killed. Robin, in turn, seems to have a Complex Posttraumatic Stress Disorder; she unconsciously projected her trauma in Tui. Tui is another fascinating character because she is willing and ready to confront a terrible psychopath and child abuser like Matt; seeing her with a loaded shotgun is very inspiring. Not to mention the scenery and the suspense there is: thanks, BBC.
I agree, but I think that this show fails as a detective story, because there is no mystery to be solved. Matt is shown from the very beginning to be this bad character so the ending is just confirmaction of what we knew and throu the series we never get a chance to even question any of character's point of view cause those are negative characters and the others are good characters. Name one character that is nore good or bad.
You don’t watch many American cop shows or movies I take it? It’s honestly difficult to think of modern (and some classic) shows or movies about law enforcement agents that don’t feature flawed, complex characters. “The Wire”, “True Detective”, “Justified”, “Dexter”, “The Shield”, “Oz”, “Fargo”, “Bosch”, “Southland”, “American Crime Story” “Law and Order SVU”, “Banshee”, “Brooklyn 99”, “Hannibal”, “Homocide: Life on the Street”, “The X Files”, “Mindhunter”, “Twin Peaks”, “Narcos”, “Dirty Harry”, “The Place Beyond the Pines”, “Donnie Brasco”, “Black Mass”, “The Departed”, “When They See Us”, “Vertigo”.. I could keep going but I’d be listing examples all day.
@@ripwednesdayadams You are right, but I was thinking more in the line of Herbert Marcuse's one-dimensional individuals. If you watch one of Federico Fellini's movies, for instance, you will see that most characters are like cartoon characters, and yet from behind there is also depth to these characters. When majoring in Psychology I learned, for instance, that in the cartoon "Snoopy" all characters are one-dimensional but Snoopy the dog. So, yes, although you are right I was trying to make a point about here the characters being crazier and so perhaps closer to real life people. Thanks anyway.
Whole episodes in this miniseries with no detecting and no crime at all. Lots of drama though and emotional upheaval. But the least detectecting detective show you'll ever watch. In fact until the perpetrator is actually given to her in the last 20 minutes neither she nor anyone else had a clue.
The bigger problem for me is that this show never ever trys to play with my expectation. The man who actualy comited the crime is shown for the very beginning to be the bad one, so that made ending even more disapointing.
