I LOVE 1970-76, there was plenty of dross of course, but the good music was unbeatable, and that period is now pretty much forgotten or dismissed now I think.
TOTPs was always inventive of any tv tech they could twiddle & widdle about on the visuals, sometimes you'd just want to see the band & leave the picture alone.
Some TotP COMPLETE editions which EXIST do actually have DJ MUTED links, example 6th June 1968, part of 27th February 1969, 15th October 1970 and this edition to name some of them.
Love the version of We Will, Gilbert O'Sullivan. The backing vocals are by professional female session singers. And we don't have to edit out Savile's voice! Thank you.
@@frostycola42: Happy chance! Annoyingly, I didn't suss Jimmy Savile, thinking he was a harmless, asexual eccentric. I hated Trump 40 years ago, and didn't think Jackson was right to spend all his time with kids, but Savile gulled me.
WTF 10.59 Is labelled "Ring of Fire". It's quite plainly The Sweet singing Coco. Who is responsible ??? I DEMAND to speak to the manager of this video !!!!!
@@normanpearson8753 Yes - he wrote it inspired by the unfortunate after effects of a particularly hot curry. "I sat down, down, down, with a burning ring of fire..." 😄
The links are intentionally muted because this episode of TOTP (and several others missing from the BBC archive) were recovered from German TV. German presenters would fill in between the performances. But, like you say that's no bad thing these days eh. Thank gawd we don't have to hear Saville's voice.
Medicine Head remind me of the Two Ronnies' classic hippy singers, Jeremiah Jehosophat and Fat Belly Jones. "Me and ma friend Fat Belly have done this new song for you." Fat Belly (Barker) "Amen, brother". ....
Oh oh … !!!! Man , you def should’ve edited that Cnut out before uploading this … this upload is officially tainted and I ain’t watching the rest of it !!! 🤬 👍🏴
