I must add a thank you for this video. I already wanted to go to chennai and this video confirmed it to me. I have just spent a week in the city, and followed many of the recommendations in this video. It was a fantastic week and I would like to spend more time there to do the things we missed
@Elena P. Chennai is the right choice for that. It’s close to many ancient temples - two major ones are Mahabalipuram and Kanchipuram, but many others are also relatively close. The second choice would be Bangalore which has some old temples in the vicinity.
man the fact that you added subtitles made me a subscriber immediately! Pls continue w english lang subs, the markets you will reach would be incredible
Hi thank you for sharing the great video ,it was very informative and helpful I am visiting India next month and I will be visiting Chennai and Pondicherry the place of my grandparents which will be highlight of my holiday, looking forward to eat good food and temple, watching from South Africa
Wow thanks for uploading. Each time I visited Chennai it was all about shopping & food. I didn't know Chennai had such nice places to visit. Would definitely visit soon ☺️
Im from Chennai myself, many things i didn't know. Loved this video. You've covered the bits not a lot cover. Most come to beach and leave. Amazing video!!!!
I went to Madras some 20 years ago as a UK backpacker and now I am going again on business just for a few days (at age 52) to Chennai. This video made me want to rent a two-wheeler and go surfing at Kovlam....I wonder if the boss will miss me for a day :-) Things have changed I see, Metro?!
Things have certainly changed and the metro line is good too, though it’s still quite limited. Go for Kovalam - I plan to learn surfing too on my next trip there 😍
Our college South-india trip included Chennai from Hyderabad in 1980.😍🤣🥰😅 We stayed in the bhogi n dressed in gr8 waiting rooms of Indian Railways 🤣🥰😅😍
Great video: All aspects like facts, fun info., low volume music when talking (great music as well), video angles, editing... everything is top notch! You deserve more views and subs! Good wishes!
You Nailed it Sidhartha. What a lovely experience I got from this film. Mindblowing Sound design and the way of talking to the camera I never seen before. ❤👌
I don't know if we are only being shown the good clean places or the whole of Chennai is like this. The reason I say that is that I have have watched many videos of the North and wasn't impressed at all by the cleanliness. My impression was that the whole of India was untidy with litter everywhere. This is very impressive. Love to visit someday, that's where my grandparents came from.
Hey!! I'm a non-Chennaite, have been living here for quite a bit. Whatever's shown is true. A few years ago, I would call Chennai dirty. But the city corporation has made Chennai very beautiful now. Only that metro construction is happening everywhere in the city, causing massive traffic. The city otherwise is beautiful. But even though the whole city has been rebuilt and renovated, some areas remain a little backwards and dirty, but as a whole, it's good. You're always welcome here, Nelson!
I'm planning to visit Chennai so I searched RU-vid videos and saw your vlog.. it's pretty good ❤ever visited Kerala??if not try to come n visit munnar, wayanad, trivandrum and Cochin.. love from Kerala❤
What a beautiful vlog! I loved the music and content equally. However I think you missed on some famous temples in your video.. your vlog was different from other vlogs..your hard work 👍🏻
Thank you so much Yamini! I completely agree that we missed some major temples that day. I’ll hopefully make more videos on Chennai and will cover other places :)
Awesome video! But please visit vandalur zoo, and Guinea national park, and dakshina Chitra for the history and architecture of south India, you won’t regret it! Thanks for sharing about my home city, chennai 👍
Very nice video. Chennai is really cool! So, any other recommendations especially of temples? And any non-veg tamil restaurant? How long should we take to see Mahabalipuram, if we love temple architecture? Is it advisable to visit most of the places in the evening because of the intense sun?
Triplicane partha sarathy temple, kalikambal temple in mannady, vadapalani murugan temple, kundrathoor murugan temple, mylapore kabalishwar temple, sholinganallur temple (forgot the name).... mahabalipuram will take 1 to 2 hrs from chennai central railway station.
That’s a good question but unfortunately I don’t know any specific place like that. I typically use Airbnb or Booking to find affordable places to stay. Also Hostelworld is a great resource. Have a fun trip to Chennai :)
Yea was ok. I typically like tea with ginger and less milk, but since I was there to have their tea, I just drank what was offered. Would I drink it again? Yes sure :)
