This is a design flaw 100%. The original crosswave as well as the newer X7 BOTH have tubes that taper to a smaller diameter at the outlet. Meanwhile the Cordless Max has a tube that’s not only larger diameter, it doesn’t taper. You can see the water trying to suck up the tube but falling back down because there’s not enough suction to pull the water up that tube. I am trying to find a way to add a taper to it, possibly heat the tube and bend it flat or maybe try and cut a similar sized funnel spout and put it in there. Either way, they messed up on the dirty water tank design on this model and the water that remains suspended in that tube spills out onto the floor when you shut the machine off and it drives me crazy!
see my hack problem is the BACK of the dirty bin - gets WARPED OUT - need to put a little Dollar Tree Scratch resistant sticker pad CIRCLE about 1-1 1/2" from the joint seal / CENTERED to the back of the machine You can TIP me if you LIKE MY HACK VenMo @MCSky appreciate $1 Suction is much better no need to restrict hole althogh there will be another hack coming in couple of months leaking air around the Dirt Bin and Top Cap - now 100% of suction (still not OVERLY impressed) but the water is not GARGLING not making into the Bin now..
Tried this fix and it didn't help at all. I actually removed the lid with the hole in it and went back to using it as designed. The solids got stuck at the lid and clogged up the hole so it wouldn't pick up water. It also caused the base to shut down during the cleaning process because the water couldn't flow quick enough.
What types of cleaning solutions do you use. My first cordless cross wave stopped working a little under a year of use and i was recently sent a replacement. But i don’t like the cleaning solutions
I've went though 2 replacement ones so issues with all 3 and because my warranty just ran out bissell doesn't want to help and I spent almost 400 for this crappy machine. I've had issues with the same leaving puddles and not putting water out at all or I keep having to constantly push the button and very little water comes out then each time. Can you help with the water not coming out?
You obviously have an above average IQ! I bought one of the and I was pissed all it did was smear dirty water around! I am going to try this! I'll let you know if it works for me! Thank you for this video! ❤
Doesn't this make the motor run hot from the suction being restricted? I'm just concerned about the long term affect of long period use, and not just a spot or spill pick up.....
Shucks. Didn’t do anything. I have the x7 so I put a neoprene washer there. Didn’t see any difference other than not being able to use the hair collector.
I'm a little concerned that it may increase the suction but it also causes the other debris that is usually caught by the strainer to get caught by the newly installed lid with the hole in it.
But isn't the point of this machine to be able to vaccuum AND mop? I appreciate your DIY solution, but it effectively turns the machine into an expensive power mop. I just got one and am immediately seeing issues with it not being able to manage pet hair and mopping without streaking. If I have to vaccum separately, I'm returning mine and going back to a simple Bona spray mop that gets the job done simpler and faster!
Sure it became now a vacuum for ONLY dust and rice the machine lost the ability to suction relative large particles like Fruit Loops etc because of the Very small diameter on the green bottle cap after this trick the particles in the floor that are bigger than the little hole on the green cap will get stuck between the floor suction hole and that green cap never making it into the receptacle and subsequently clogging that section and forcing you to push it out every time a big mess is made. So thanks but no thanks
It actually went from not picking anything and leaving the fruit loops on the ground along with the milk to actually be able to pick up liquids and small particles, so it literally went from inoperable to operatible.
@@misterkota1252 same principle you are reducing the diameter of the tube. Which is the same thing I did in my video. Both increase the pressure. Stop spamming for views
@@misterkota1252 no the hole doesn't get clogged I have 2 long hair cats and if you vacuum and keep a clean house it won't get clogged. This fix works just fine for people not wanting to use hot water or risk burning themselves. Amd I think people like that
@@busterbrown446 Nop there is a problem we don't have the solution BUT there is still a problem, Don't you just hate when people use comments that make no sense If you cant see the problem with this go ahead and use the fix
@@michelvianlotti3483 what I love is how people say this isn't right but don't offer a fix, sort of like an employee complaining about a problem but offers no resolve...
If you have big dogs then this is sure no. Like German shepherd, sheds all year, thin small hair from cats, fine! But thick ,clumpsy, chunky rough hair from German shepherd……..clogged 😿
I don't even know what this was for, and you skipped right to a green lid or cap in the Bissell container? Wth. Thank goodness I stopped then and didn't waste more of my time
The first 45 seconds explain the problem and the next minute shows how to fix it the problem shown in the first 45 seconds and the last part of the video shows the result. Good thing you didnt waste your time but definitely wasted your time posting a comment.
The brush was wet thus the darker color. When something is white and fabric gets wet it turns a shade of grey. So not "disgusting" it was clean. 2nd the appliance was past its 1 yr warranty.
Didn't void the warranty one bit. You can purchase an additional dirty water cup that doesn't have the altered piece if you need to return for warranty. Don't be so critical.
Thank you for your video! Love that you came up with a fix. Mine picks up very little water. From one full tank that gets applied, less than 1/4 is sucked up. Super frustrating because it leaves tldtraks all over. I'll be trying this for sure!
