Loving this RV. Ask Nick if Coachmen could move all monitoring gauges to above sliding door like Winnebago and others have done? It is a shame too waste an entire kitchen cabinet... Use every inch but use it wisely! A shelf or cabinet over rear doors and a cargo net behind rear seats would be awesome. Oh hell; I am on a roll, lagun table mount in front with a decent size table..get rid of post table! A real kitchen faucet with sprayer so water does not stay in faucet...you know take the one out of bathroom and use that. Is there a character limit? Put a real shower head in bathroom..
You guys looked like you had fun in this one! The spice cabinet is really nice. I wonder if the large size Costco spices would fit on that. I use the large size cayenne, garlic, dried onion, pepper, tumeric, parsley and others. Dehydrated kale is really good to take because it adds a lot of nutrition to a soup in just a few shakes. The vitamin k is important because if you’re sitting for a long time driving you have be more prone to blood clots and green vegetables are high in vitamin k that keeps the blood thin enough to keep it from clotting. Dehydrated celery and basil is also good to have a lot of. I love green chili powder - especially the kind where they roast in on the grill and then dehydrate. It is good on cucumbers and in gazpacho and on avocado toast.
DO NOT TAKE VITAMIN K to “thin your blood”. Vitamin K is an essential factor in making your blot clot and in hospitals it’s used to reverse blood thinners so please don’t believe that it will “thin your blood”. If you’re concerned about getting blood clots after sitting for multiple hours take an aspirin
What I like about the nova is it’s the perfect size for someone who is just a couple RVing. They pack a lot into a small form factor and honestly the way airlines and hotels have become nothing but a stress and money whole I would prefer to travel like this. Can’t believe how fast battery technology has moved forward. Also Hank should of had to climb, in Kuwait I had to climb on top of 8 ton trucks in the heat. Hank should have to do the same.😜. Just kidding my hands still have scars from that time. When it’s hot you don’t want to climb on metal 👴🏽
Ha Ha yeah I would have gone up there...if you see me sweating though, its really really hot...i think if folks don't care about 4x4 or AWD then Promaster is probably the best way to go, most of the co's have really good options with the chassis
L💗VE our 2020 BEYOND. We've had every other camper seriously...this is the BEST DESIGN rear couch/bed has the best storage!!! Don't settle for anything else!!!(only thing I'd change is the T windows)
Sitting in my Coachmen Beyond at the Coachmen Owners Rally after touring the Coachmen Class B factory watching a video about Coachmen Nova class B….. 😎 missed you and Lola at the rally!
I'm sure you may have cover this in other videos. I have a general understanding of the electrical system. And I know the ac is the biggest user and maybe the microwave. Would like a compassion between the lithium and other batteries. How long can you go without the ac? And do all the class B's at Sunshine have an extra alternator. Trying to understand what is a good set up. Seem to me the biggest under the hood extra alternator would work with a good size battery. Don't know if all models have that and is it auto start?
Thanks for putting the electronics out of sight and out of young, curious hands! Say, wouldn’t they be great in a small drawer, or perhaps a tip out??? You could sit down to adjust the settings!
Gee, I hope Coachman sees this. As a senior, I want to sit down to do anything! It would be so nice to be sitting in my primary chair and have the electronics accessible, sort of “007” style.
Is there storage under the beds? Nick, You mentioned being able to ship for free....... Are they put on a truck or are they driven by a driver? I would love to purchase through you but I would be concerned about putting miles on the RV. If it is shipped, how is the walk around handled?
You should add a section to all of your vids which shows you sitting in the driver seat and demonstration how much the seatback can recline, with the seat all the way back, as well as the legroom. My understanding from trying to find such information is that the Coachmen Nova seatback must remain bolt upright and that the seat cannot go all the way back, making it pretty impossible for 6 ft. plus drivers to be comfortable. So, if this is not true, or true, it would be great if you would demonstrate this for this and all or your other class B's. I know for certain that a lot of potential owners would appreciate this information.
It seems like you would have to put some sort of topper on that couch/bed that folds down to deal with all the seams and gaps. Is that what people do? And where do you store the topper then?
I really like the back lounge in design but if you wanted to tailgate or go in and out from that way the whole couch would have to lay flat and be on a bed lift lol.
At the 4:00 min mark, the salesman says "you're not sacrificing quality" when buying the Promaster vs the Sprinter? Yes, the camper install is the same, but then there is the matter of the Mercedes quality vs the Dodge (Mexico Assembly). Yes, the Mercedes is more expensive. You get what you pay for.
Have you noticed or talked to the salesman about the cost of the vans now compared to 3 years ago? I was watching an old video and the guy was saying it was around 57,000 for a van like that but now it seems like they are 150,000 on average. Is that just basic inflation or do the ones now have more expensive batteries and other components that make up for some of the price increase? At first I didn’t want the side by side twins but now it is making more sense because I’d like to be able to take my parents places and I need access to the back to install a lift that they could ride up to enter and to put a scooter on the back. They don’t need a wheelchair but would need a scooter if they really wanted to get around easily and have fun. I’d also rather not have the bathroom on the back so people could sit back there and have a view but it makes sense if you want a more open interior to not have the bathroom right in the middle. I’d also want the 4 captains chairs for riding and the single couches for having lunch on. I do wonder if it would be comfortable for them to sit on those though because I don’t think there would be much back support and if someone had to go to the bathroom you’d have to remove the table so the person could get by and that could be a hassle during lunch.
so far as the prices: yes prices have gone up, SSRV doesn't discuss the price on the videos anymore because they're changing so much with chip shortage and all the other chaos going on right now
The only expensive van on the market seems to be the Promaster! I guess they don't have a vehicle shortage problem or employee shortage! this dealer appears to be the highest price Class B dealer! I guess the higher prices pays for the good service lol One note on the shore power plug, make sure the power at the pole is off then plug your van in, then turn the shore power on with the breaker it will save your system from arcing! great video Mr. Stranger!
I don’t want a twin bed I want my queen bed I don’t wanna have to crawl over a bed to get to the bathroom I’m gonna leave my bed up 24 seven what the hell all these RVs have twin beds or something you gotta put together or Murphy beds I don’t like none of that I guess I have to build my own
Overall, a great option for those wanting a new RV with lithium without breaking the bank. Downside: I was hoping that Coachmen would put even more stickers on the outside. #sarcasm
That’s constantly running…typically your AC will go on and off to maintain a certain temp…on a really really hot night, you’re going to have to run your engine some part of the night to recharge that battery or run your generator like I’ve done
