Thanks! We were just there, visiting a friend. Did several of your suggestions. The Hotel was a great Prime Rib and feels like a 1960’s restaurant.

Very enjoyable to watch this video. I am interested in Palmer Alaska because of the big vegetables that grow there! Hope to be coming up there to visit soon with my Wife and maybe even making the big move from Texas to get away from the heat and the hustle and bustle. People move in over here like crazy it’s really messing up the countryside, the hunting and fishing and what not. Alaska seems like the ideal place to permanently get away and live off the land. Maybe if we come up there we’ll get to meet you. God bless

Keep 'em coming, I live in Texas but escape the summer heat by spending a couple of weeks in Alaska each year - Trapper Creek area. There is so much to do it is hard to choose. Hatcher Pass has been on my list for a while, thank you for the restaurant list too!

Johnathan--just came across your channel, and I really enjoyed this. You have a great presentation style, and I imagine your channel is really going to grow. I am currently living in Arizona, but after 38 years, I am wanting out, and I am currently interviewing for a couple of jobs in Anchorage. Early days yet, so I have no idea if either opportunity will materialize, but if they do, Palmer looks like a great place to not only visit but live (not sure of the commute time into N. Anchorage where the jobs are). Even if I don't get either job, I still plan on flying to Anchorage in early September and exploring the area. Thanks, and keep the content coming--you are a natural!

Thanks so much, I really appreciate the kind comments. Alaska is quite the place to live. I don't know of a better place in the summer but the winters can get just a bit long if you don't get out for at least a week or two. (However some folks like winter better) Palmer to Anchorage is about 40 minutes and there are many people who commute because they like valley life as opposed to living in the city. The roads are maintained well so it is not a problem in the winter. I would suggest renting to start so you could really get a feel for what you want, then your long term would be an easy decision. Good luck on the jobs and feel free to drop by and see us when you visit in September!

Did you not have any supporting video? Why not do a simple podcast if your video is only going to consist of you talking? Why not show video of what you’re talking about?
