​@@arn4660 Rein was a level above anyone in the verse. Also, considering what Jikka could do with a stick, imagine what he'd be able to do with Shugen's named sword. The worst I could see Jikka performing in a fight against Shugen, they both lose their lives

EoS yes actually. Gabimaru admitted that she's stronger than him when she's at her best which she manages to consciously achieve in her fight against Rien's Kishikai form. Genji also stated that when shes's at her best, her ability is unparalleled among the Asaemon which includes Shion, Jikka & Shugen.

He didn't say it was unparalleled, he said she was at their level. And Sagiri's Tao countered Rien's. Sagiri's feats aren't comparable to the people above her, Shion fought a Tensen that countered his tao and nearly killed it, and Gantetsusai split a giant boat in two. Her feats aren't impressive, she just has people stating that she's stronger than she ever shows.

After re-reading the final fight I have to agree with you but I'd say she's stronger than Jikka at best.

shugen could imitate all the moves and techniques of his other asaemon partners as well as being able to change his type of Tao. jikka could see any attack in advance as well as see other possible attacks from his enemies even being able to kill with just a wooden sword. shija has no chance of beating any of them

another thing: when Gabimaru fought against Shija he didn't know about the abilities of Shugen and Jikka

how is shija stronger than shugen? shija got killed as soon as gabimaru came back to full power doesnt matter at the end of the day gabimaru she didnt kill gabimaru shugen did better in the 2 way battle vs rien and gabimaru man can literally change tao lol rien was in her male form she is weaker in her male form

I think he meant emotionally or in terms of Tao potential. She couldn't keep up with Gabimaru fighting ninjas and reason she was able to kill Rien was countering her tao element. But i think she could have been placed slightly higher debately

​@@kaspersmok9633 that don't make no sense though, Gabimaru has shown more emotional control than she ever did throughout the manga, she's literally shown time and time again to be emotionally unstable, and that's what holding her back from being stronger, and everytime Gabimaru reinstates she is strong, its in a fight not in a emotional control moment.

@@arcueid3352 i don't really agree, meanwhile both Gabimaru and Sagiri do have their own mental struggles, Gabimaru seems to be struggling more even tho he doesn't show it directly since he is more of a stoic character that rarely show his feelings. But if you look at him at begining of the story- he was pretty much nihilistic with no will to keep on living, as well as he blamed himself for what he had to do in village to survive(he tells his wife quite often that he is terrible "hollow person and don't deserve her) till Sagiri managed to realize him his attachment to her and thanks to her he was able to get back on track. Sagiri is also the one that manages to bring best of him and even bring him back when he suffers from amnesty. She is also much more emphatic and is able to better keep group together meanwhile Gabimaru often causes conflicts and struggles to create any real connection with other members. Yes Sagiri is more soft and kind type of person, since she haven't went throught as much as Gabimaru, but all things i mentioned above Gabimaru considers as strenght that he lacks (u can see he is often alone almost Apart of group) . But that's my interpretation. I can admit tho that interpretation that she Has more physical strenght (not necessary combat abilities) also makes sense, as u can see she is often the one to deal fatal blow to toughtest opponents including Rokurouta or Rien. But i wouldn't say she od better fighter since she said she couldn't have keep up with Gabimaru when he was fighting Shija

@@kaspersmok9633 yeah i agree with that, cause a lot of people really downplay her like crazy, someone really said Toma or Yuzuriha is stronger than her like c'mon bro, and i do think they both completed each other characters, as much as Sagiri change Gabimaru, Gabimaru also makes her realize that all she need wasn't the strength needed to kill, but the resolved to bear the weight of that fear, making her stronger, and Gabimaru did similar things throughout the manga too, always reaffirming her that she's strong and all that, i really liked their characters dynamic
