Beating North Carolina three times during the tournament when Roy Williams was there was icing on the cake. But winning that national championship against Memphis in overtime was outstanding. Bill Self is 4-0 against UNC in the tournament.
That Grayson Allen almost-make…not sure how it rolled out but that’s the closest I’ve ever gotten to a heart attack. And I remember that Davidson game. We were traveling and had stopped for lunch at some random Chilis out in the Boonies of west Texas. My husband wanted to get on the road and I wouldn’t let him. He was hoping they’d break it open, but it was so tight he literally could not pry me away. Haha I’m glad they won otherwise it would have been a miserable trip home.
Kansas was down by nine and came back as a theme with Bill self and these announcers never figure it out we just tough it out and end up winning those games. Same thing happened this year in the championship game against North Carolina down by 16 still won the game ha ha ha
@Tate Vobach So which two are going to drop off this list? Because with the exception of Mario's shot, both Kansas -vs- Miami FL and especially, the 2022 title game is better than everything on this list. Maybe just make it a Top 15 and add 3 more games... problem solved. :)
I’m confused what you think your comment does? Kentucky was the best team that season; KU had some really good players but they didn’t have the talent UK had. I didn’t think there was any shame in losing that game - there was great honor in getting that far that year.
You are stupid! Nobody was beating Kentucky that year. As a Kansas fan, I was just thrilled they were in the national championship. Nothing wrong with losing that championship. They were killing us and we made a serious rally.
@@drewscott4878 Grayson Allen was a Sr leader on that OUTSTANDING Duke team with a Chip already in his pocket. Bagley and that other big Duke had? Jesus H how did my Jayhawks beat them!?!?!? Plus all those Duke Guards/Wings. 6 Duke players drafted off that team few months later. 3-4 were Lottery Picks. (Lol wasn't "the first gm of the season.)
