You just gained a new follower. Thanks for sharing. I'm curious to know the place of Education with focus on Early Child Education. I'm in Nigeria, a graduate of Botany over 10 years ago but working as a Realtor for about 7 years now. I'm undergoing a Diploma program in Education. What do you advise please?
Career in tech fields such as IT and Computer Science face ageism. Engineering is less impacted because engineers use computer as a tool to solve problems; many engineers work till age 65. Bachelor in psychology doesn't mean much; many have to study Master and PhD degrees before working in hospitals.
Hello friend, how is the job market in Canada for embedded systems with a background in electronic engineering? Is there age discrimination similar to IT?
@@peng-sj6ol Companies prefer to hire younger workers for tech. Many developers got layoff starting in their 40's and replaced by younger and cheaper workers. They become freelancers and contractors involuntarily. Also, there is pressure from outsourcing. Up to certain points in their career, they need to move into management if they want to stay as employees. Provinces such as Alberta, Ontario, and Nova Scotia have good prospect for tech jobs. BC is okay. Avoid Quebec due to its French environment and separate immigration system.
@@smwk2017I've heard that Canadian law prohibits employers from arbitrary dismissal of employees. Would clear cases of age discrimination like this also be allowed to exist?
@@peng-sj6ol When a company does not do well financially or going through organizational change, layoff will come. HR will make sure that the layoff mix is law compliant. After a year or so, they will re-hire younger ones. I just don't see guys in their 60's still doing programming.
My darling is university of Windsor good for masters in law. Find it hard researching for schools good in law and reputable aswell, the results keep bring high end schools like UofT

Thanks Lasisi for your question. Yeah, I would like you to think through with a mentor, to guide you. They would take time to get to know you and what are your strengths, before guiding you to decide your program. It is beyond just mentioning a course for you to study in your masters, but self discovery is needed first. I would advise you join our mentoring program for more professional guide. Head here to get in touch with us: www.thegreateryou.co.uk I hope this helps.
