As long as they aren’t going to win on the spot, Even with a full hand, if you don’t have super low life, u can pay 10 and there’s a real good chance you’ll get a response, sure it might not be an overall great win but it’s saved my life many times.

Discard in black is your only ONLY enchant removal

In my respectful opinion, getting out Grave Pact turn four is always better than turn five Dictate of Erebos. He talked about "timing on your side". Playing faster and getting more room for mana using other spells is superior to having a flash. Using dictate in response to a boardwipe is ideal, although, consistency is key and a situational condition is not consistent.

Vampiric tutor also puts it on the top of your library dude.😂 Also when did these cards start being rated on fairness? Sorin is good both as a card and a character.

why are imperial seal and grim tutor so expensive when vampiric tutor and demonic tutor are better?

Living Death somewhere. also, Hatred is an answer to permanents Black can't remove by CD killing the player. it doesn't even have to be your Commander :-)

Liliana Vess can +1 any player, even you, so in certain situations it's good especially in a reanimator

Back doesn’t do enchant removal well, it doesn’t have ANY enchant removal

I don't feel like Sheoldred has aged well sadly. Archfiend of Depravity is much better at keeping the field clear for 2 less. For reanimation I don't like waiting till my upkeep for the trigger when cards like Reanimate exist.

Necro is a million times better than arena. It’s proved how powerful and truly versatile it really is over arena

I wouldn't say there isn't really a debate. Demonic tutor is better because you get it to hand. If you do have ways to draw a card vampiric is better, 1 mana instant speed is just the best you can get. Imho Sheoldred is miles ahead of any other black creature in this format, Razaketh is good but it's presence is weaker then sheoldred. Good list though. Honorable mention from myself would be hatred, but that's only really good for edh.

Idk dude, I'm a lifetime mono black player and edh lover. You're missing a bunch of cards. Also I don't think Mickey works with triskelly. Putting a +1 counter is completely separate from putting a -1 counter. They don't cancel out. Remember I said "I don't think", I could be wrong. And Gary may not be number one but it's def top three. I've won more games with that card than any other card.

Phyrexian arena is just not a great card. You could always just pay 1 for necropotence. It's way WAY better. Arena shouldn't even be on the list.
