TOP TEN - Murders at Karlov Manor Cards! 

As a player who started the game at Mirrodin block and loved artifacts since then, Forensic Gadgeteer is the card I am most excited from Murders at Karlov Manor. At first sight he may look like a Vedalken Archmage which you need to pay mana to draw your cards, but he is actually a better Archmage since it produces artifacts! Artifacts which you can sac to draw if you really need it, but artifacts which you can also use for all sort of purposes in an artifact deck. Sac them to Krark-Clan Ironworks or tap them with Urza for mana, animate them with Rise and Shine, use as tutor fodder for Kuldotha Forgemaster or untap stuff with Clock of Omens. And his cost reduction ability is nothing to sneeze at either with its' potential changing from sacrificing clues cheaper to going infinite with Basalt Monolith. Possibilities are only limited to what you decide to pair him with and thanks to Magic's evergrowing card pool it will only get better.

I just want to give props to The Pride of the Hull Clade for being such an interesting and well designed card. This card is subtle, complex, and deceptive. An 11 mana 2/15 with defender doesn't look very promising on its face, but it has pleasantly surprised me. It would have been super easy for the designers to say "This is a defender commander, so it costs 1 less for each defender you control" or "This is a turtle tribal commander so it gives turtles +1/+1" but instead they opted for a design that can fill either of those roles and still is something altogether new. I much prefer when a commander doesn't build the deck for you, like when you can go to scryfall and search defender, add every card, call it a day and end up with a playable deck. I much prefer this type of design where each aspect of the card has a different type of synergy; high toughness, activated abilities, unblockable/evasion, maximum hand size, card draw, etc. I feel like you could build this commander half a dozen different ways, and i've had a blast brewing and playing with it.

Been listening to magic mics for awhile and honestly i feel like speaking up about this now. I'd rather have mics seen in the frame and closer to the mouths than dealing with such bad audio quality that's exasperated with headphones on. E.g. background noises, voices sounding "compressed" etc etc A cheap fifine cardioid usb mic set up correctly and close to the mouth can really upgrade the audio of a podcast.

Flavor gems like Red Herring notwithstanding, the surveil lands should have been number one on everyone’s list. The design is as elegant as it is powerful. The scry lands were a pleasure to play, and surveil is far more potent, enabling collect the evidence in Standard and progressively more lethal mechanics in older formats. I will be playing one surveil land in my Legacy Reanimator. To be clear, this is replacing a dual land. It is that powerful. Who knows? I might even flip over Griselbrand. Any deck with fetches will be interested in surveil lands. Replacing duals will make Legacy decks hundreds of dollars more affordable. Any strategy with graveyard synergies (almost all of them in Eternal) will be even more delighted by these, the next generation of beloved Racnica lands.

You do NOT need the exact mana in your gy for Urgent Necropsy because "collect evidence" includes the idea of more than you need like say "crewing" a vehicle.

Hats off to such an eclectic list but my girl Aurelia, the Law Above is a in the 99 Boros staple. Draw a card in Boros?!? Oh and lightning Helix for that flavor!

Haven't checked in with you guys in a long time. I used to watch weekly but then I just got sick of that chick on here she was so obnoxious and had annoying qualities. Stopped watching for a long time. checked in during 30th to see what was up with the channel was surprised to see the mask gone and replaced with mtg nerdgirl. After listening to her gush about 30th and how she was opening it on her channel. Made me feel I got nothing in common with a mtg RU-vidr and stopped watching again until today. I'm glad to see new person on the lineup

I respect that they were able to make this video even though there are not 10 good cards in the set.
