Orange City's--Blue Springs State Park all year but in fall to spring best on cold days you can see hundreds! They also have a camera you can access online to view below & above the springs! I put that on and it's like having my own personal aquarium! And when gators show up to share the springs with the manatees it gets very entertaining! manatees love to play with them nut the gators get aggravated eventually and just swim off---

We are going to visit Florida next winter in our RV. Can't wait. Thank you for this great video.

In Columbia and Brazil ,manatees have been gracious enough to help tow boaters including Jet Skiers out of the Jungle.

Now the Manatees are just so amazing. My parents and I have been out with Birds Underwater many times to swim with the Manatees. Oh I want to be in Florida in the springs. It is 18° here in Cincinnati today. Freezing. Brrrrr. Sweet video!!

Come along with me and my husband as we pick up manatee carcasses because humans are making them too friendly here in the springs and manatees start coming up to all boaters. Humans are the only predator to manatees. I am a tour company owner and a advocate for "hands off" the wild manatees. FWCC states "look - don't touch" the manatees. The manatees are here for one reason only TO SURVIVE......the "petting zoo" mentality will only get this amazing adventure shut down. Be a steward for the wild manatees....passively observe them without touching them....even if they come up to you and you THINK they want attention. I have witnessed this before over and over in 15 yrs and the manatee was critically sick and was looking for help ...later we rescued it...Many manatees don't make it to rehab........many sicknesses - internal parasites, twisted gut, and others affect manatees which are unknown to humans and don't show from an outward appearance.

Sunscreens and parfumes on our skin can hurt them though. Water accumulates hundreds of various chemicals from swimmers which makes them sick. Just a good thing to remember. Amazing video!

The platform that is shown under "Blue Springs" where people are diving from is NOT at the Blue Springs in Orange City Fl., but perhaps the one up in Madison.

Tengo un canal detrás de mi patio en Miami, y viven tres parecen una familia, uno mediano supongo será hembra, un macho enorme y un bebé. todas las mañanas y en las tardes están cerca de la superficie durante largo tiempo, comiendo de los bordes del canal. Casi puedes tocarlos con las manos, son hermosos. A pesar de verlos casi a diario siempre me emociona verlos.

If you go to the Space Center, you can pay to take the Merritt Island tour. It takes several hours, and well worth it.

More advertising for the "Manatee Petting Zoo" that is Crystal River. Notice no one is petting manatees anywhere else in Florida, so why in Crystal River? Manatees are wild animals and should be observed from a distance.

I have a question that's rather odd for sure. I am OBBSESSED with finding a town I was once in in Florida. Hopefully my description will help someone name this place for. Yes, this was 17 years ago. This was a very small town. It had at least one brick street down the main strip. Ocean was on the right very close. The buildings were like 1 2 or 3 floors. Buildings were old. Very quaint place. Sips boats up close. Looked like a fishing town. It also looks at least higher upper class. There were little shops up and down selling things from these small buildings.

Sorry, friends...there are no manatees in the Titusville area anymore...they have all starved to death in the past year due to all plant life in the Indian River and south Mosquito Lagoon being killed by runoff pollution and multiple sewage spills..

You are not supposed to touch the manatee . In1983 I swam in many of those springs including Three sisters spring and that was common sense rules back then.

Considering the over 700 dead ones they found this spring, maybe a landfill??

You mean to tell me that one backyard canal in Satellite Beach where the manatee pile up hundreds deep in just an 1/8 of a mile isn't on the list??!?! That's ok, I'm sure the residents don't want to see most people anyway!! It's bad enough when there's 30-40 strangers staring into your backyard, they don't need hundreds more strangers showing up.

With manatee's, it's all in the marinade.....
