Banshee is so underrated, ive been riding it since it was brand new in 2014 and road it like 20 times in 2021. night rides in the front row are insane and i got a sick banshee shirt sooo u know.
10. Valravn 9. Maverick 8. Banshee 7. Raptor 6. Millennium Force 5. Diamondback 4. Mystic Timbers 3. Magnum XL-200 2. Orion 1. Steel Vengeance I feel lucky to be able to day trip both parks multiple times a year from Indiana. This was a neat video 💪
Maverick just feels B+ to me. It's not bad, but it just doesn't tickle my fancy that much. And yes, Orion definitely feels greater than the sum of its parts.
@@kylebetz9684I rode Orion 3x and the last ride was in the back (epic). After that, Orion shot up to #3 on my list. Right behind Steel Vengence and Millennium Force.
The shed on Mystic Timbers is only a negative if you’re still living off of the hype that the park built up for it. Nearly 5 years later, I see it as more of a positive. At least you’re not being swarmed by Yellow Jackets on the brake run like you are on The Beast.
Good list. My top 10 coasters in Ohio is 1. Steel Vengeance 2. Maverick 3. Orion 4. ValRavn 5. Mystic Timbers 6. Millennium Force 7. Diamondback 8. Top Thrill Dragster 9. GateKeeper 10. Magnum XL 200.
No. No. No, I swear if I see another person put Orion above diamondback I will explode, AND YOU PUT MYSTIC TIMBERS ABOVE ORION?!?!? I can deal with other people opinions (except for why you put magnum so low and Val raven so high) but seriously Orion is NOT better than diamondback I don’t care what anyone else says
My personal list is 1. steel vengeance 2. Maverick 3. Diamondback 4. Millennium force 5. Magnum xl-200 6. Orion 7. Mystic timber’s 8. Valravn 9. Gatekeeper 10. Raptor (I haven’t ridden top thrill dragster)
@@mrman12w I have Orion above Diamondback as well. Yes, it has stupid airtime, but it's feels sluggish compared to it's big brother, an inferior first drop, and a very noticeable rattle. It's still my favorite B&M hyper, but it's not flawless.
@@XscreamThrills the main reason why I don’t have Steel Vengeance ranked higher or why Mystic Timbers even in the top 10 is because of my personal preferences. I generally prefer launches and the sense of speed over airtime. Plus, on both Mystic and SteVe, most of the rides I’ve gotten on them have left me very disappointed
The beast is overhyped. All the other coasters are more exciting. Save it for last if you don’t get to ride it for some reason your not missing out on anything but the credit.
In May 2018 I experienced slightly over four days at what so far is my only visit to Cedar Point, but at this point in time I've still yet to visit King's Island. My guess is that I'd rate my top 18 coasters in Ohio like this: 18: The Bat; 17: Blue Streak; 16: The Racer; 15: Gemini; 14: Valravn; 13: Rougarou; 12: The Beast; 11: Magnum XL-200; 10: Mystic Timbers; 9: Maverick; 8: Raptor; 7: Banshee; 6: Top Thrill Dragster: 5: Gatekeeper; 4: Orion; 3: Millennium Force; 2: Diamondback; 1: Steel Vengeance. However: if I ever visit K.I. I may change my mind. Thanks for posting!
1-Steel Vengeance 2-Mystic Timbers 3-Maverick 4-Orion 5-Gate Keeper 6-Diamond Back 7-Banshee 8-Magnum XL 9-The Beast 10-Valravn I have not gotten to ride Top Thrill. I find MF is my least favorite Giga and most people don't agree. Maybe in 2022 that will change. I went from extreme terror riding Iron Dragon in May of 2021, to this is one of the best rides in my life in June riding Copper head Strike, to an extreme love and passion for coasters by August of this past summer.
I first visited both parks last year and only missed out on Gatekeeper because of its chain snap, here are my top 10 in Ohio: 10. Racer (Blue > Red) 9. Raptor 8. Millennium Force 7. The Beast 6. Magnum XL-200 5. Diamondback 4. Steel Vengeance 3. Maverick 2. Orion 1. Top Thrill Dragster
Top Thrill is now closed down. Raptor doesn't deserve a top 10 rating (neither does Racer). It's subjective. To me, Steel Vengence is #1, and it's not even close.
Solid list, though I can’t speak from experience for a number of them (as my last visit to Cedar Point was 2014). I will say, if you ever coordinate it right, not to sleep on Tornado at Stricker’s Grove. There is one moment of violent ejector in the back row akin to Jack Rabbit’s double-down. Plus Kings Island is only a half an hour away, so both parks are easily doable in a day.
Nice list. My top ten in Ohio is 1. Steel Vengeance, 2. Maverick, 3. Millennium Force, 4. Top Thrill Dragster, 5. Mystic Timbers, 6. Orion, 7. Banshee, 8. Diamondback, 9. Gatekeeper, 10. Magnum XL 200
@@davidgames9867 I love it. I think it’s the best coaster at KI. The pace is incredible and there’s so many good pops of airtime and laterals. The restraints aren’t the best but they don’t bother me really.
I've lived in Ohio my whole life and spent lots of time in these 2 parks. I love Kings Island. It's got this certain charm and atmosphere that cedar point just doesn't have
I haven't ridden Steel Vengeance at Cedar Point or Mystic Timbers and Orion at Kings Island. So for now my favorite coaster in Ohio is Millennium Force at Cedar Point followed by Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point, Maverick at Cedar Point, The Beast at Kings Island, Gatekeeper at Cedar Point, Banshee at Kings Island, The Bat at Kings Island, Diamondback at Kings Island, Firehawk at Kings Island (R.I.P.), Valravn at Cedar Point, Raptor at Cedar Point, Flight of Fear at Kings Island, Rougarou at Cedar Point, Backlot Stunt Coaster at Kings Island, Wicked Twister at Cedar Point, Adventure Express at Kings Island, Cedar Creek Mine Ride at Cedar Point, The Racer at Kings Island, Blue Streak at Cedar Point, Vortex at Kings Island (R.I.P.), Iron Dragon at Cedar Point, Corkscrew at Cedar Point, Invertigo at Kings Island, Magnum XL 200 at Cedar Point, Mean Streak at Cedar Point and Gemini at Cedar Point.
Top 10 Kings Island coasters: 1. Orion 2. Diamondback 3. Banshee 4. Mysric Timbers 5. The Beast 6. The Bat 7. Racer 8. Woodstock Express 9. Flight of Fear 10. Invertigo
Top 10 Cedar Point coasters: 1. Steel Vengence 2. Millinium Force 3. Maverick 4. Valravyn 5. Gatekeeper 6. Magnum 200XL 7. Gemini 8. Iron Dragon 9. Corkscrew 10. Raptor
Idk if you have but the Beast at night is unbelievable. The night ride truly feels insane. They still brake but I feel it’s only 1 instead of 2 hits of the brake.
I can't say I disagree with this list. Sure I might change a few things. But it makes total sense. I'm hoping after I've lost weight when I get back to these parks in June I'll be able to enjoy Steel Vengeance without bruising my thighs.
I can’t do rankings, but instead have tiers. The exception to this is that SV is my clear #1 and I305 is my clear #2. Also live in Ohio and visit CP and KI ~20x each so I’ve contemplated this list a lot. 1. SV Tier 1: Orion, Diamondback, Maverick Tier 2: Magnum, Mystic, TTD Tier 3: MF, Banshee, Gatekeeper, Valravn, Raptor Tier 4: Rougarou, Racer, Beast, Gemini, Bat, Wicked Twister (RIP) I know I must have missed something.
My top 10: 1. Steel Vengence 2. Millinium Force 3. Orion 4. Diamondback 5. Maverick 6. Banshee 7. The Beast 8. Mystic Timbers 9. Magnum 10. Gemini Top Thrill Dragster is not open currently, so mine is a current list.
Well the Beast may creep into the list sooner than anybody realized. After the announcement with Top Thrill Dragster, I am starting to doubt that they are going to open it up at all
You were dead on with how people will view your rankings of Mystic Timbers and Magnum XL. MT is definitely higher on my list, above Diamondback and Millennium Force for sure. And Magnum XL isn't a diamond in the rough, it's a cubic zirconia in the outhouse & nowhere near my top 10. Your first honorable mention, The Beast, would slide into the top 10 for me. And I 💯% agree that Orion is a truly great coaster that gets way too much hate. It's only negative is that it is a little short but wanting more is a good thing & much better than being glad it's over.
@@freetilly7756 I would agree that MT is a bit overated. I hated it when I first rode it, thought it was the most painful coaster I'd ever rode. However, I lost like 60 pounds, and went back and rode it again and absolutely loved it. I still think its a bit over rated, but it do like it a lot better than I did before.
I’ve live in Ohio for 27 years and gone to both parks every year for that long. I could never understand the hype about the beast. It’s a terrible ride. Super rough, zero air time, no real drops at all after the first one besides the helix’s at the end it is extremely boring. I get it it’s long and night rides through the woods are interesting the first time, but it’s not exciting at all. Good for you for not including it.
Probably not how I would have lined them up... But theres only one thing I saw that really made me say "Say WHAT!??" And that would be Magnum XL200... I mean it's not a BAD ride by any means, and I could see it being way up on the list if this was like 1994 or something. But, I really don't understand how anyone could rank it above Banshee... and arguably Gatekeeper. Certainly right about one thing though.. Ohio is certainly the best state for Coasters.
I've probably changed my Ohio rankings since the last time I posted it but for me its: 10. The Beast on a good day 9. Steel Vengeance. (sorry but the ride is often painful for me and an ordeal to even get on). 8. Flight of Fear (fight me) 7. Banshee 6. Top Thrill Dragster 4. Orion - tie 4. Millennium Force - tie 3. Diamondback 2. Mystic Timbers 1. Maverick
My top 10 from coaster layouts receptions to me are: 01 Steel Vengeance 02 Millennium Force 03 Diamondback 04 Maverick 05 Orion 06 Top Thrill Dragster 07 Gatekeeper 08 Mystic Timbers 09 Raptor 10 Banshee
