I live in Clearwater and I just cannot imagine being in that water, let alone walking around in bathing suits right now. Too cold for me. You certainly can tell the vacationers from the residents. Enjoy your time in my lovely city. 🌊🏖☀️
I came here mid to late june, swan about 100 feet next to pier 60 and actually saw a manatee swim by next to me, we walked everywhere around clearwater, took the shark boat for dolphin sightings, it was amazing definitely recommend it, we stayed at the hilton in clearwater.
I just came back from Florida this morning. I live in Michigan. I absolutely loved it. I want to move there. I went to clear water beach and the water was so warm and amazing. 🥰🥰
After watching your Clearwater beach walking tour, Resort recommendations and now this tour, I think we are prepared for our first trip to Clearwater in September for our 30 year wedding anniversary. We will fly in to PIE and plan to Uber/Taxi in to Sandpearl for 4 nights during Labor Day week. From what I've gathered, a car rental is really not needed and we don't plan to leave the beach area. If needed, the Jolley Trolley will be used! We usually fly in to Destin/Ft Walton and vacation there so we're excited to visit Clearwater for the 1st time. I really like the idea of not having to rent a car! One question that I hope someone can answer is, how crowded is Clearwater beach during Labor Day week, usually? Thank you for these tours.
Honestly, it will be very crowded BUT you will still have a wonderful trip. You are staying in a very walkable area so you won’t have to deal with traffic once you’re there :-) Have a wonderful anniversary. Sounds like a great trip!
I stayed at the Sand Key Motel and I had the best time ever! Great food at the Motel. Went from the pool to the beach. The beach is so white and the water so clear. I even drove a power boat and went Parsailing, thought I saw Cuba from up there too. I definetly reccomend anyone to go, it's beautiful. I've been there 3 times. Love Tampa, Florida.
The best thing I did was leave this city its nothing to do boring, I live in Hallandale Beach which is next Miami and Hollywood Beach the night life is amazing and its always some were to go and enjoy yourself.
The Clearwater Marine Aquarium is a rescue hospital not a traditional "Aquarium" you'll pay $25+ to see a few sting rays, otters, dolphins, nurse shatks sea turtles, and thats it. If your ok donating to wildlife preservation then go here, but if you're expecting something like Chicago's J ohn G She'd Aquarium, you'll be disappointed.
Hi, Thank you for the great information. Can you give me information on parking? How hard is it to find parking close the the beach? We are traveling from out state for the day and would like to find parking near the beach.
Hi Ricardo, the best advice that I can give about parking is to arrive early :-)South of the pier there are a couple of parking lots right on the beach - one by the pier and one by Opal Sands. There's also metered parking all along the beach it goes fast. You can find a couple of large parking garages near the Hyatt as well. On the north side of the pier - closer to the Sandpearl there are several small lots on the beach. Some of the lots/garages can be pricey and varies depending on the day and time of year. Hope this helps and have a great time! Clearwater is awesome!
Me and my wife went down here a few years ago. She called our vacation a “baby moon”. Last chance to enjoy ourselves and adult time before kids. One of the most relaxing places I have been to. Had a great time and you cannot beat the sunsets. I wanna go there again with some friends and rent out an air b&b. I also wanna try the calypso queen drink cruises and one of the dolphin cruises for the kids.
Are there any places to stay on the beach that actually come with free cabanas and chairs or umbrellas and chairs? In Saint Pete Beach a lot of the resorts have those included with your stay.
Well I live in PA and it takes around 20 hours.. and I'm going to Clearwater on June 10th 2022. We're renting a beach house. I honestly think it's going to be amazing.
I miss clearwater.....the best experience ive had was in clearwater...we heard bout clearwater on a trip to orlando to go to busch garden's for my daughter and done both parks and went to clearwater next day... the beaches are the cleanest ive seen beautiful water way better than panama and myrtle beaches ugly waters... clearwater will be my go too. Im looking to buy a home now in spring hill Fl
Try taking a Dinner Cruise on Calypso Queen at the Marina its really nice , my Husband and I did amongst other activities we did like visit Winter and Hope the Dolphins and Dolphin boat ride too etc!!!
I know this video is fairly old but I wanted to ask what is a good car service to get me from Tampa Airport to hyatt round trip any suggestions just worried about missing the flight thanks
Can someone tell me what beach that was when she started to mention number 5? Looked like a great place for children. We are visiting in August and our 5 year old is going to enjoy the water!
I live here and enjoyed your video. It refreshes my mind to watch a video for meant others about my home town. I see why parking is insane for residents. Its a beautiful place.
Hi Huguin, if you want ALOT of activity then the area right around the pier is good. You will find restaurants and things to do all around the Hyatt and Hilton hotels. It does get very busy there but it's active. If you are looking for a quieter spot head North of the pier past Sand Pearl.
The sand is so picked through because of all the tourists, so definitely not. I’ve lived here my whole life and in my opinion it has been completely ruined by tourism. All of the tourism has made the beach lose its charm.
I've lived here for 31 years and the water is always clear unless the red tide is in. That's why the Indians named it clear water all these years we have been able to see under water and pick up sand dollars between our toes
