Thanks so much for watching. We hope this video gives you some ideas for things to do in the St Pete area. If you have any questions about visiting St Pete leave them in the comments 😊 If you are familiar with St Pete, what activities would you add to this list?
Been traveling to St Pete’s beach for years and still didn’t realize how much the area had to offer. This top 10 list will help us make our list of things to do when we go in late may. Thank you
We're so happy that our video was able to introduce you to some of the great things our city has to offer! We hope you have a great time here in late May. Thanks for watching, Gary!
We're so glad that you are enjoying them, Phil. We always do our best to keep our videos informative and entertaining. And yeah, we are fortunate that Jamie has such a great "voice-over voice"!
@@Explorcation would love to hang out with you guys sometime exploring. I'm going to check out Wat Mongkloratanram in Tampa & the hard rock casino afterwards this Sunday
@@adventuresfloridatothailan5217 sorry for the delay, we already had plans for the weekend. We have heard Wat Mongkloratanram is worth a visit, how was it?
The Sunken Gardens are so pretty! We love flamingos and turtles...I can see why it's a popular spot for weddings. The pier looks like a fun place to explore...between the restaurants, splash pads, and discovery center, I think we can spend quite a bit of time there. The aerial sculpture looks so cool at night time! Kayaking underneath the mangroves must be such a unique experience. That's definitely on the top of my must do list when I visit St. Pete!
Yeah between the beaches and the sunken gardens, we really have some great spots for outdoor weddings around here. We hope to see you down here sometime!
I love St Petersburg! I was lucky enough to go there in high school. The beaches there were so pretty! These are all great suggestions for when we go back! The pier looks fun!
The best thing I did was leave this city its nothing to do boring, I live in Hallandale Beach which is next Miami and Hollywood Beach the night life is amazing and its always some were to go and enjoy yourself
3 Daughters brewery is great beer and live entertainment by local bands/artists. Love them and so glad they opened one up in Clearwater Beach, closer to my house (some may say too close, lol)
We love 3 Daughters. Such a great atmosphere and good selection of beers, ciders, and seltzer's. It's also one of our favorite spots to catch live music. You could certainly say it's too close to our home in downtown St Pete 😂 We haven't made it to the Clearwater location yet, but next time we get up there, we'll definitely be checking it out. Maybe we'll see ya there!
@@Explorcation If we ever see you two around we will say hi. We typically explore the area via ebikes, paddleboards and boats so I am sure we will cross paths! Have a great weekend :)
The sculpture at St. Pete pier is so cool, I’ve never seen a sky sculpture like that all lit up too. It’s cool seeing all the places again in this video, loved the fishing boat charter day and the paddle boarding! Had to have the breweries in there too🍻 there’s so many cool things to do in St. Pete!
Love you guys putting this together. We definitely need to save this list so we know what to do when we go. It's a comprehensive list and very helpful for those who want to do it all! Our most favorite would probably be St. Pete's Pier because we love a great spot to chill and eat. Oh wow, the nature reserves is also something we would be interested in! So nice to see them outside as opposed to going to a zoo. Lastly loving the Kayaking through mangroves! Great to see local nature areas. Gotta finish the tour with Breweries! HAHA.
Yes, had to save the breweries for last, as we did not want people to think we were suggesting drinking a bunch of beer BEFORE paddle boarding or having close encounters with alligators! 😆
St. Pete looks amazing. We go to Florida once a year but have never been here. We will have to make a detour to visit this place next time. Thanks for sharing this helpful information!
Great tips guys! Loved seeing the gardens and the turtles and that pier sculpture is so pretty at night. Wow, over 100 murals in St. Pete. That would be so interesting to see! Aww, I remember that paddleboarding adventure. Those mangroves were so cool!
When we're in the area in March, we love to go to Spring training baseball games. Your ideas are great and really showcase how beautiful the area really is. :)
I've enjoyed all your videos from around St Pete, you have done such a great job of showcasing the area. The sand at all those beaches looks so soft and white! 😍 I remember the paddleboarding video, I would definitely love to do that followed by a beach and a brewery! The lake and trails look fantastic too. Great video guys!
The aerial sculpture at the park looks sooo cool lit up! We loved St. Pete when we were there last, the MFA is super cool and one of my favorite things was chartering a boat and seeing dolphins swimming along the beach. Great coffee and beer there too! Definitely going to add some of your recs when we go back such as sunken. Can't believe it's rated 1 beach in usa by tripadvisor, so cool!
I can't wait to get to St. Pete. I'd love to check out the murals, the beach and the nature reserve. I've never seen an alligator in the wild before. I knew the breweries had to be on the top 10 list 👌 my kind of people 🤣
We can't wait for you to get here either! And of course we wouldn't leave out breweries. Just didn't want to put it at #1 at risk of looking like total drunkards 😂
St Pete is seriously the most beautiful place in the world, I always wanted to go to Hawaii but I think we will rather need to go here. The white sandy beaches are literally my favourite ever. We loved watching the previous videos of the beaches. The Christmas lights were absolutely gorgeous, is it still hot in December? Ah those Flamingos, it's literally Adams most favorite, we've been searching for them here in South Africa haha, so I've told him, well we need to go to St Pete 😂 ah the St Pete Pier looks like such a vibe and especially with it being rated second top attraction in USA. The bending Arch is just flippen amazing especially when it's lit at night, almost like the northern lights - BEAUTIFUL! The glass blowing experience looks really unique, have you guys done this before? We would love to go on all the cruises especially the floating tiki hut. And of course what would an Explorcation video be without a brewery, our fav 😍 we loved watching those 2 previous videos. I would think one needs at least a month in St Pete to take advantage of all that it has to offer. Gteat video guys, we hope to come to St Pete in the near future.
Yes! Come to St Pete some day and check out the flamingos 😀 (spoiler alert I think we have some more footage of the flamingos in our next video) Although if your choices are here and Hawaii, I could sure understanding wanting to go to Hawaii (we've never been but want to go!) The average high temperature here in December is 72 F/22 C and the average low temp is 47 F/8 C - winter is a great time to visit for those who aren't a fan of the heat and humidity. We have not yet done the glass blowing experience, but it is on my list for sure. And you are right, we couldn't end the video without mentioning the breweries 😆🍻
We would definitely love the Sunken Gardens! Have a feeling we would spend a bunch of time with the flamingos and the turtles! Chartering a boat for a day would be right up our alley too, we loved doing it in Turkey too, being out on the water during the warm weather is incredible... and probably would like to try that floating tiki hut one time ;)
If you liked the sunken gardens, then you will definitely like our next video! 🙂 We are definitely going to try out that floating tiki hut one of these days. Should make for an interesting video!
St Pete is awesome...it’s like our city (Durban) on super steroids 😅 I think we’d fit right in. Love the beaches and the Pier! Love that it’s so walkable and it looks really safe. There’s so many different things to do, it’s so cool...beach, shops, gardens, nature reserves, restaurants, breweries! We remember your paddling through the mangroves, so peaceful! 🤗🤗 we were wondering why we haven’t seen any breweries yet, but never mind here it is 😅😅 I think Craig would put it at number 1 🤣
Hi Jamie and Skyler, first of all, thank you so much for your videos. I just love them, and I'm using many of them to decide what to do during my weekends. By watching your videos, I came to know Weeki Wachee Springs, Rainbow River, Indian Shores, and other fantastic places. I'm enthusiastic about stand-up paddle boarding, and I'm always carrying my inflatable board with me. Have you experienced paddle boarding in Indian Shores, not the beach, but the river... it seems an amazing place. Any tips about paddling in Indian Shores or St Pete area?
We're so happy to hear that you've found our videos to be inspiring, Leonardo! We really don't get out paddleboarding as much as we used to due to our weekend filming schedule, but we do sometimes still work some paddleboarding into our videos. We just recently took our paddleboards out in our Indian Rocks video, so if you haven't checked that one out yet, we'd recommend it. We paddled in the intercoastal, which we believe would be a similar experience to padding in the intercoastal near Indian Shores. I'm not 100% sure which river you're referring to, but we have done some river paddling primarily a couple hours to the north around the springs. Our favorite paddle in the St. Pete area has been Weedon Island, but further south we really enjoyed paddling through the mangroves off Lido Key and also around the Turtle Beach area on Siesta Key. Thanks so much for watching and for taking the time to comment, Leonardo!
I love this guys...I nice little overview of the area to give you some ideas on what to do and where to go. Love all those white sandy beaches...but also love the bars you visit at all these places. The Christmas lights is something we do over hear too...many different places to choose from. My pick is the rooftop tiki bar...haha...always like the views....hang on second that. I want yo go on the tiki hut boat 😜🤣🤣 The boys nature reserve looks nice and would definitely get out and go some hiking there. Not sure I have seen a bald eagle in real life 🤔. The paddleboarding through the mangrove was also very cool....I loved that from the full video you did a while ago 😁. Great addition guys...I think I need to do more of these of my area 💖💖
Thanks! It was a bit of a challenge to narrow it down to 10 topics, but I think we ended up with a good variety of options. We would love to see a video like this highlighting the top things to do in your area ❤❤ One of these days we will try out the tiki hut boat 😆🍾🍻
I know the county wouldn't like this, but some of the best times to visit the bayfront parks are during storms (if you don't mind getting wet). You can get absolutely lost just looking out to sea with rain falling and a little wind.
We have gotten (unintentionally) caught in a couple of rain showers on the bayfront before, but never in a full blown storm. I honestly never even thought about intentionally visiting during a storm, but do see how it could be enjoyable if dressed appropriately!
Hello, we have a family of 5. We want to come here in the summer. What we want is a large pool and the room/condo has to face the beach, so we can walk right out to the beach
Hi Nick. Check out our Tradewinds Resort tour video. We stayed there a few months back and had a blast, and we think it would be a great place to vacation with a family. That's on St. Pete Beach, which has a lot going on. If you're looking for something a little quieter, maybe look into AirBnBs in the Indian Shores or Indian Rocks Beach area. We've stayed at a few over the years and have always enjoyed them. We have a video on Indian Shores that you might find beneficial to check out as well.
Thanks so much, Limary. Since we live in downtown St. Pete, we've never actually stayed in any of the hotels, so it's hard to give a recommendation. As far as neighborhoods go though, we'd definitely recommend staying either downtown or close to the beaches. Hopefully in the future we'll get a chance to stay in some local hotels so we can provide recommendations on specific hotels in the area.
No argument from us, Greg. If we are looking for a party atmosphere (which is less and less the older we get), then Clearwater Beach is the spot. But more often than not, we prefer a chill and peaceful beach day!
Thanks Maria. We are so happy to hear that our video helped you to plan your upcoming trip! It takes a bit of luck to see a manatee (in the wild) this time of year. You can find them in the gulf and in the bay. Coffeepot Bayou may be your best bet, as I've heard of many people spotting manatees there. If you are willing to travel an hour or so, we'd recommend heading north to Homosassa and/or Crystal River. We saw manatees at both places just a few weeks ago. We just posted our Homosassa video, and our Crystal River video will be up this Saturday. Thanks for watching!
My Aunt, Uncle and cousin arer moving there and I've only been to Florida once for Disney world and I was 6 I'm now 29 I never leave Jersey lol I want to tho
We hope you get a chance to come down and visit your family and experience St. Pete for yourself! We'd say you are long overdue for a trip to Florida 😆
Yea we can hear the cars downtown! It is really cool that they transform downtown into a race track. For this video we tried to focus on year round activities, but the Grand Prix sure is a cool event to experience in the area!
@@Explorcation see, thats cool, you guys know all the little things, thats what I mean, I wouldn't mind meeting you guys down there some day/days and we could just wander around, and you can point out things like that, the diff restaurants, whats up with them, etc......i mean if you'd feel up to that....

Hello, Damaris. We have gone to dog beaches in a couple of our videos (Honeymoon Island and Pass A Grille). I'm not sure if there are enough around to make an entire video on it, but we'll have to do some more searching around to see. It would be a fun video to make!
To hot way to hot don’t particularly enjoy the idea of sweating my butt off all year however Florida will always be home as I was born in Clearwater and enjoy visiting down there to catch a rays or lightning game and get some good Cuban and barbecue and most of all Visit my little sister’s and my mom plus all my other family members but I will keep my high paying job and my 4 seasons out here up north in New Jersey
Luckily the water in the mangroves has a pretty high salt content and is therefore not known to have gators in it. Otherwise, I would have been much more nervous! 😂
Each person's top 10 list will be different, but the great thing about St Pete is that it has something for everyone. We'd love to hear some of the things that would make your top 10 list!
