For me, the best part about Wanaka is Warbirds over Wanaka air show. During Easter 2010, I travelled with 8 buddies to South Island from Sydney. We rented a mini-bus, and we simply drove around. One day after we had lunch at Wanaka we found that the airport area was noisy, and it turned out to be the air show. We spent the whole afternoon at the air show and it was amazing.

WHOA the puzzling world seems like such a mind trick. I love things like that! I believe I have seen that bathroom floor illusion on Instagram before. I saw the Wanaka tree on one of your first videos on the road trip and thought it was soooo cool! I would love to see that tree. 😃

Cool place and great advice on the walk/hike to go to the top! We would pass on the shooting and archery as we have our own of both and shoot all the time, but for someone who never had it’s a great experience so as not to fear guns. We had a friend visit from Italy and we loaded up about 30 different guns from pistols, AR’s, shotgun, sniper rifles, etc and he had a blast trying them all out!

New Zealand is gorgeous! Would love to visit one day! Crossfire seems like a cool place. Us and most our friends here do actually shoot guns and archery in their backyard haha.

Late to the party but thought I'd add a lot of locals seem to agree that the tree grew from an old fence post from when that area was all farm land :) If you haven't been, I highly recommend going to Wanaka station park next time you're in town - that's where the farmers would have stayed/managed livestock/etc and it's absolutely beautiful! As a sidenote, I grew up in wanaka but didn't visit the tree until I was 17 haha

I almost misread your video. I thought you said Wakanda 🤣. That Lake is so pretty!!!! Puzzling World is totally up our stop!!!!! Creepy but fun work. Did you use the Blue Yeti mic for this video? Trying to figure out proper distance.

hey hey carl!!! sorry iv been so slack on here the last weeks iv been so so busy with the lead up to christmas with work!!! :D no i didnt use the yeti for this video i used my other mic on top of my camera i love the sound! when i do use my yeti i use it for voice over stuf but usually speak bout 30cm away and just turn the volume down a bit depending on how loud you want it to be!!!

Hi Thanks for your sharing, Can I ask you a questions, some friends suggested me to pick the Rocky Mountain track rather than Roy Peak, since it is easier and the view is awesome as well, I am not sure which one to go? Thanks

Hey!! I haven’t personally done Rocky Mountain track but I have heard of it! You don’t go as far up iv heard which is why it’s easier! Roy’s peak is a really tough track so I would suggest picking it depending on time and how much pain you what haha! Sorry I couldn’t be more help! I will check out this track next time I’m done though! 😀
