Think about holding on, what actual good does it do for you? Does holding something decrease the chance you won't fall out? No, you're not going to fall out no matter what, it just doesn't happen. Holding on might calm your emotions, and it might stabilize your upper body in a coaster or ride that may jostle you, but TT2 does not jostle, it's almost completely smooth to riders. So, we can see that holding on has no, or little, actual benefit for a human body. I never hold on. It doesn't matter what roller coaster, first time, 300th time, I ride with hands raised. It's more fun that way.

You can still get that on Kingda Ka at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey! But this new Top Thrill is a much longer ride with 3 launches! It’s great!!
Need to make it go almost to the top on that first shot, then roll back. Going back on that twist whn the og top thrill got stuck for a second and rolled back was wild!

I can’t believe it already shut down! 🤬 It JUST opened a couple weeks ago when I rode it 9 times! And I made a whole long form video on TT2 just last week! I hope they fix it quickly cause it’s awesome and I want everyone to get a chance to ride it!!
@@tbh.to.be.honest_idc well unfortunately this is a major problem. A problem so bad that if they didn't catch this in time, it could have potentially been catastrophic. Much worse then the last time, and potentially the worst accident in roller coaster history. I'm glad they caught it in time so kudos to the maintenance department. Zamperla amusement had no business touching this thing.
Yes! With an asterisk! It reopened as Top Thrill 2 in May for three weeks, then it closed for undisclosed mechanical reasons, and it’s been closed ever since! Hope it will reopen soon! The new version is awesome!

No this used to be Top Thrill Dragster, it’s located at Cedar Point in Ohio. They remodeled it to Top Thrill 2. Don’t fret, Kingda Ka is still operating at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey! 😁🎢 I love Kaaaa!
Yes!! I didn’t see any when I was there but just the other day I saw some footage of rollbacks during testing on the third launch! I think I saw them on X (twitter). It was having problems going over the other day! Due to weather or something.

It actually looks crazier in the off-ride footage than in the POV footage. The train looks so small it makes you think “it can’t possibly make it all the way up that thing” and then it does, somehow
When I was a kid around 2008 I went to cedar point and someone held their arms up and the computer never let them go because of one person and all you hear is “arms down” “arms down” “arms down”

That 1 launch was indeed more shocking right at the start! But this one really builds up to that epic backwards launch and the final top hill launch! I love it! Hope it reopens soon so everyone can experience it!
Yeah the first launch is slow but that because it needs to build momentum for the amazing backwards spike launch, which is a wonderful feeling! And then the 3rd launch which is wild! Plus you are on it for a lot longer now! A full minute! It’s great! Hope they reopen it sooooon!

I have never been to cedar I used to live in Buffalo ny and born in Akron Ohio but that looks so much safer than top thrill 1 also kinda ka doesn't go backwards so that makes cedars cooler
Nice! I am from Jamestown, NY which is right between Buffalo and Akron! Cedar point is great! You should definitely go sometime! Top Thrill 2 closed right after I made this video, so I’d wait until it is open again before you go. And I’d recommend going for at least 2 days because the park is huge!
They say it was the wheels but I was there before it closed and the fourth cart on the silver car was shaking so maybe that’s the main reason why it’s closed
Just went today and it was closed. Once it reopens. I'll be back immediately for the front and back seat. My dad who hasn't rode a ride since 2014, (who also a year ago had a double lung transplant just over a year ago) dominated everything but this today.

I’m really sad I didn’t get a chance to ride, but better for them to disappoint some people than to injure them. Happy for you that you got some rides in though! Maybe I’ll be back to ride it in a few years
I went to cedar point on June 11th for 8th grade final trip and I was sad because I’ve never been on a role coasters and after I finally warmed up to them and did millennium force and all the rest of them I was sad to see that TT2 was closed

Top Thrill 2 opened in May 2024 after it was remodeled from Top Thrill Dragster. But it was only open to the public for like 2 weeks and then they closed it because of mechanical issues. They are currently fixing it, but it has not reopened yet.
I’ll never in my life have the balls to ever do something that’s the size of that thing being on the back, looking straight up your back to the floor thinking if it goes backwards up, I will be cooked😂

I wonder why they got rid of the Epic and iconic Launch? 🤦 There was No other die like it in the whole world Literally 0-120 in 3.8 seconds This is gonna be a majorly Degraded coaster compared. Ni where in the world can you do that Again without a Sports car and even that is Super dangerous and not the same. Pretty darn disappointed they took out the DRAGSTER for good.

I’ve ridden it 7 times so far and like it more each time! Heading back to the park today to ride more!
You’ll still have so much fun even if it’s still closed when you go! Cedar Point is amazing and huge, so there is still so much to do even without TT2. Have a great trip! 🎢😎

The old version was just like Ka! This new version is a whole different experience! I love Ka! With the triple launch on Top Thrill 2 this is a different kind of ride now. I hope it reopens sometime soon! It closed shortly after it opened in May! :(
@mitchbeachfun ya it was super annoying. Most of the food and store places were closed to. 50 dollars for a ticket was a complete waste IMO. We drove several hours to be here as first timers. Very disappointing.

When this project was announced long ago, and Cedar Point chose Zamperla to do it because they offered the lowest bid, I, along with many other knowledgeable enthusiasts predicted more problems, bigger problems and new problems. _Top Thrill 2 opened for a few days_ before shutting down again! Cedar Fair just won't learn, taller, faster, new technology, new ride elements, groundbreaking _anything_ and you're going to have problems. They also didn't learn that you don''t hire the lowest bidder for a job if they have no experience in this type of work! Zamperla has never done anything like this and offered the lowest bid. Cedar Point hired them! Now TT2 was opened for a few days and is closed again. Zamperla knew going in that this could be their greatest moment, or their biggest fail! Their reputation is on the line. It's not looking too good for Zamperla right about now! It's the beginning of the season and their newest project, which is also Cedar Point's star attraction, is CLOSED!

The first launch is slower yes, but you get 3 launches that increase in speed with this new design! Including a backwards one that’s amazing! It may not show in the video, but it’s sooo fun! And much longer in time than the old one! Can’t wait to ride it next year!
Yes they remade it as Top Thrill 2 with 3 launches! It opened May 4th but closed a couple weeks later due to technicalities. They are fixing it now. Hope it opens again soon!
I agree it's WEAK compared to the Launch we used to get. And I have a feeling these asshls are gonna end up charging even more to ride a lesser thrilled coaster.
Doesn’t surprise me. It was raining most of the morning! I got here around 2 after the rain stopped. Everything is up and running now! 👍 I’m here through Monday, excited to ride TT2 more!!

First Top Thrill was wayy better.. that launch is laughable in comparison to the first.. up to 120mph in less than 3 seconds was one of its major features!
I thought so too at first. I but I really like the 3 launches now! It really builds up! Going up the spike backwards is awesome and the final launch rocks! I love it. Hope they open it sooooon! But yes the initial fast launch is a great experience. Fortunately we still have Kingda Ka for that thrill!

Oh no, youre going faster than the old top thrill dragster for a LONGER amount of time with the new LSM launches, the old hydraulic system usually ran around 115-118mph operators would say. So go ride kingda ka bud
