We loved Greenland, however there are several difficulties in getting to see the stunning scenery, culture and wildlife.
Some of these difficulties include
Nearly all tender ports
Ports are frequently cancelled due to poor weather
Standard of health and safety does not reach UK standards
Not a lot to do in the ports themselves so advisable to budget for excursions and even consider cruise company excursions
Greenland is not a place to step off the ship and book an excursion
Dress appropriately, layers are best and be prepared for wet and cold
Need to take precautions against Mosquitos as they came be a nuicance.
Toilets are infrequent so need to know their location in port before disembarking
Greenland is part of North America for mobile phone networks, a EU rooming contract will not work
Museums are small but worth visiting
