According to World History, "The Holy Land" was acquired by Great Britain, after World War One. It formerly belonged to the Ottoman Empire. In 1948, Great Britain granted the piece of land to the Jewish people, especially those persons who fled from Nazi Germany and from other surrounding European countries where Jewish people were being persecuted. For 1,000 years, "The Holy Land" (Palestine) was already occupied by the Palestinian people along with other ethnic groups, when many more Jewish people from Europe started arriving there. Consequently, the Palestinian people were either forced to leave their houses and dwellings...or they were relocated (The Gaza Strip). This action taken by Great Britain, 76 years ago, has caused conflict (Wars /Conflicts) between both Jewish settlers and the Palestinian people, ever since. 👉Update: Just this Month (May 2024), The United Nations have declared "Palestine"as a "Sovereign State." Prior to this, they were not recognized as a country, per se.
